Starts Monday. So does anyone want to play?

I've noticed that a lot of idle yet creative intelligence is being spent in NHR, so why not?

I see this as a slower, more deliberate version of Slug Warz. Input is welcome.

The rules from Slug Warz II are in effect with the following exceptions:

- Each day and each night will last 24 hours. If enough folks want to play, the first night will begin 12:00 AM Monday, 10/26. The following day will begin 12:00 AM Tuesday, 10/27, etc. This will ensure that everyone has a chance to post/PM/deliberate and still live his or her busy life. Write-ups will come promptly at midnight of the appropriate day.

- No minimum number of votes to salt. Whoever has the most votes at 11:59:59 PM gets it. I will decide ties by a digital coin-flip.

- There is no limit to the number of participants (if any). The sign-up deadline is immediately prior to midnight of Sunday/Monday. The number of slugs will be set at 1/7 (rounded up) of the number of participants. As in Slug Warz II, the slugs can recruit within limits. The number of recruits (1, 2, ... ) will depend on the number of slugs. I'm thinking a 1:5 ratio. E.g., if there are 1-5 slugs, there will be one recruit; if there are 6-10 slugs, there will be two recruits, etc. All of these numbers will be firmly established in the first write-up.

As in previous games, roles will be randomized using random.org.

2. What's the deal with how you guys do recruiting? Is that to say there are multiple "mafias" and if you select one of the other "mafia" members you die but if you select a "townie" they become mob?

The terms "mafia" and "town" are just generic to say good guys and bad guys. It's what I'm used to.

yeah in this the slugs are the mafia and then just the villagers. your number 1 is right, a couple games ago juice brought up the recruiting. Basically the slugs will have the option to not kill a person one (or maybe more depending on how many recruits allowed) and instead recruit them over to the slugs. It's a twist that really throws a wrench into the regular style of play/thinking.
