So next week for training on my new job, we are going to our corporate office in Columbia, MD. For everyone on the new team (there are 9 of us), we had to do some self-paced practice activities with the new software. One of which involving entering a test candidate. Now, naturally people picked humorous names for the website...such as James Bond, Ronald Reagan, etc. But this guy (who I also happen to be rooming with down there) decided to pick the following name for his candidate:

"Baggs, Tea"

Bear in mind, corporate people are all over this training site to help us out, and the vice-president checks it regularly. I really question this guy's judgment.

On another note, is it a little ridiculous that I am in a relatively senior level position and I am still forced to share hotel rooms with other employees I have never met when I go on trips? Or is this a common occurrence? It's a little awkward....I'm not in college anymore.

Cutting costs everywhere man. Gotta keep that profit margin somehow.

There were 4 people from our group that traveled from Pittsburgh to NYC for 3 days. Everyone had their own room. It was an internal meeting so no other companies were involved.

If all 4 people were in Pittsburgh and you weren't meeting with other people, why did you have to go to NY? That sounds excessive.
