So, was CP trying to swing a deal or bringing him up with the big boys?

Guessing Talbot was sent down to make room for Fata, I would not be surprised now to see Talbot recalled.

Later Rico

I'm assuming he was being called up?

I'm sure he's happy to be going to Atlanta.

He is fast and has good energy. His hands suck, but he is better than a few guys we have now..... Endicott, Koltsov (both still have updside, but they are not playing well currently)

Good Luck Rico

No Big Loss

But good luck to him.

Well, that's the end of the guys we got for Jagr and Kovy. Good job, CP.

But don't forget, we used Mikael Samuelsson and a pick to land the draft pick that got us Fleury. :D

Fata was being recalled, not being put through waivers for a trade.

I was hoping that he'd be able to bring some speed, energy and scoring on the lower lines since he seemed to be playing very well offensively for WBS recently. IMO, he's better than Koltsov at the NHL level.

Hopefully he sticks with the Thrashers and makes a career of it in the NHL.

Th only reason the Thrashers claimed him is because they saw the newest OLN We Believe In Hockey Spot, which doubles as Rico's highlight film. :D

Bound to happen to the Pens sometime

Post by relantel »

That was the chance the Pens took in recalling Rico... the same chance they took when they sent him down.

So, if my understanding is correct, the Pens still have to pay half his salary for the rest of his contract?

Fata has had a couple of really good games with WBS recently--Tom Grace has been enthusing over him--and it's obvious that Therrien wasn't the only one to notice.

Only lame thing is that we have to pay half his salary now... for this year anyway.

Best of luck in Atlanta, Rico.

Or as my friends have affectionately begun to call him, "Deuce".

For obvious reasons.

That sucks,he could be our energy guy on 4th line... He is much like Talbot, gives a heart in game, better than Endicott and Koltsov...

Much like Talbot, only Talbot is better at faceoffs, better defensivly, better on the PK, better at checking, etc.
