The amazing thing is that he passed away on the very day his number 5 was raised to the rafters in Montreal.
I don't know if anyone saw highlights, but the entire team was wearing number 5 jerseys.
His deline was rapid. Only a few days ago he was looking forward to being on the ice for the ceremony.
He said that day (The day #5 was raised to the rafters), would be better than all the Stanley Cups combined!

I watched the ceremony before switching to the Pens game. I was amazed at how strong his family was throughout the ceremony. His son made his speech & didn't give any impression that his Dad wasn't just looking on.ExPatriatePen wrote:The amazing thing is that he passed away on the very day his number 5 was raised to the rafters in Montreal.

It's awful to see players like Boom Boom pass on.
Bye bye, Boom Boom.
