George Mason's AD is on the selection committee. He allegedly left the room when his team was discussed, but do you think the other 9 members want to tell him they gave his team the boot when he walks back into the room? In his defense GM won the CAA regular season title, so that should count for something. The committee applied some very subjective standards in selecting AF and US.ExPatriatePen wrote:The biggest surprise / ommision may have been George Mason getting in and Hofstra being left out. Hofstra (24-6) beat George Mason(23-7) twice in the last couple of weeks. Both Air Force and Utah State had worse records against similar quality opponents.
Not happy at all with the selection comittee this year.
In reality none of these schools or the schools that were snubbed have a chance in he## of winning the tourney, but this is Exhibit A of why the power CFB conferences have the BCS and refuse to turn CFB over to the NCAA for a sanctioned playoff. The power conferences hate the way the NCAA cuts the CBB $$$ up and distributes it to the smaller schools.
