I think canaan only has 8.
Senka's vote was counted twice.

the wicked child - 1 (slappybrown)
thehockeyguru - 1 (cup keeper)

The first shots had been fired. As the troops marched on to the first Battle of Bull Run, gunfire erupted.
After the chaos ended, everyone decided to go and see who had been killed.
There, they found canaan, legs amputated, purple skin, gangreen seeping out of every part of his body. Wait, he's in a shark tank?
canaan, casualty of the First Battle of Bull Run.

As the troops awoke to march onward to South Carolina towards Port Royal (no, not the Belle Vernon Port Royal
)
However, not everyone would be making the trip.
When everyone awoke, some of them noticed they were short by one man.
elsewhere, other grumblings were going around about another person missing. Where could they have gone?
With 17 alive it takes 9 to
blast or
retreat

Not sure why, but something about this really stands out to me. Seems like a 'I wasn't around so I'll just make a seemingly innocuous comment to show that I'm here now'.
Blast nan.

For the record, in these parts it's First Manassas, August of 1861, whose 150th anniversary is due up next year...

Can you guys post over the list of people alive in your writeups? Or is there a reason you aren't doing it.

I could... but that would make the work too easy?
