I thought we didn't have to be fans of the show to follow the game.

I don't think we do. I think it might be easier to piece a few things together if you know the characters but in general you're ok if you have no clue, like me. I also think knowing the series can be a disadvantage if you over think what's going on by trying to relate it directly to the show.

I can't really argue with nan's logic, other than it's speculating on how kraftster is molding the game. All I can really say is that if I was bad, I wouldn't come out as the vig. Or if I was a red vig, I wouldn't use the name given, because I'd be assuming that it was a bad character.

see this is one of those situations we have to be very wary of... usually with role claims early in the game the bad guys are going to keep a vig around. He doesn't pose a huge threat, and if anything vigs usually help the bad guys more than the village. Also, if he's claiming green and we take him out we're just doing their work for them. If he's actually red, vig is the best role to claim as there isn't always a vig and therefor not a HUGE threat of someone else saying, "That's BS... i'm the vig".

I'd say all things considered (vigs usually hurt villages more than help, and there's always going to be that doubt if we don't deal with it now) i'd be comfortable with an MWB vote.... but not just yet. i want to see what everyone else thinks first.

I do find KS's claim that he is sookie's brother and that she knows who he is. So I guess they cant talk amongst themselves like a traditional mason role.

Last write-up was at 5:17 pm yesterday. Kraftster stated 12 hour limits on days... not sure what that means for a deadline though.

do we really want to potentially lose the vig this early? that seems asinine. granted they usually do more harm than good but it still gives us an opp to take out bad people. i dont think its worth risking at this juncture, i dont understand.

sorry i've been busy this morning, but i have some info on the show...maybe adds some color.

IMO, Eric would be a vig role. he is a sheriff of the vamp region...he isn't always good, but does help bill/sookie sometimes. Kind of fits that middle ground role.

As for vamps being good/bad......Not every Vamp will be bad. Bill for example will be good, and maybe the girl he turned...There are good and bad people just as there are good and bad vamps.

really curious to see what type of role maryann is......no doubt bad, but the powers should be interesting

if history holds true (see what i did there?) in these games, it's that baddies lay low early or if someone is laying low early they don't really come out and help later on in the game. i've tried numerous times to get quiet people out early because they scare me, and multiple times i've been correct, but shot down because no one wants to vote out the quiet people. i have a few people in mind (and a few of them that are normally very active posters that aren't quite as active now)

he wouldn't obviously but i'm saying, if he was indeed targeted last night i'm sure he had a few hunches of who it was and that's why he asked us to go with him w/o presenting much evidence
