Actually, Rita had a good first game with a new team who happens to suck playing a team who doesn't. He had 3 of the pathetic 14 shots on net. 2 of them I remember and one of those two surprised Lundqvist. He has a very hard wrister and skated well. And for a guy who was barely playing it was expected he would be dragging near the end. Why the other 17 skaters were as well is a mystery to me.

DP, you make good points. The two new guys certainly weren't worse than the rest of the team. Today was as bad as Wednesday night was good, lets face it, the Craps aren't exactly the Red Wings, and we shouldn't expect that type of offensive output against everyone else.
Call it a little of getting spoiled by one game. Here's hoping we can find a way to make it to one of our B games in March. Tough with weeknights and a sunday night game with the travel from Va...
Now that expectations are back down to earth, I'd like to think the last several games (except today) showed a pattern of improvement, even the losses to the Flyers and the rangers last week at home. Hopefully they can regain that effort when they play the Rangers on wednesday.

Couldn't have said it better myself. The Pens laid an egg out there of a game, I haven't seen that bad of defensive coverage since the Edzo era. It just puzzles me how they can have 1 really good tight game then drop the bomb the next game. Strange...netwolf wrote:There's no point in singling out anyone today. The whole team stunk it up.
