I dug their version of the anthem, but that song between periods was horrible.

So you can stash weed.
Well, yeah.
Rhetorical questions, people...I asked the questions to point out how ridiculous the whole situation is and how stupid Mike Vick is.
But it went right over your heads.
Ahh, irony.

Bettman is delightfully noncommittal about the future of hockey in Pittsburgh.

I'm not sure what you would like him to say at this point. What he is saying is pretty much true.

Apparently the situation here in Pittsburgh had a lot to do with not voting in a new schedule system. Whouldathunkit.

Bettman asked about Pittsburgh right away - same answer he's been giving...it's a work in progress...we want the team to stay in Pittsburgh, but they need the new arena there...we're working to get everything done and we'll know within a couple of weeks.
Nothing new....

I like Emerick - I think he's normally one of the best - but I seriously think he's been drunk the past two nights.

Gary Thorne works for ESPN/ABC. He does college football, occasional basketball, and baseball for ESPN/ABC.

he never corrects himself when he says something wrong
He corrected himself (and really, criticized himself) when he thought there were two pucks in the net but it was really Brodeur's mic.
Of course, alot of people who weren't drunk thought the same thing...

Emrick has been taking broadcasting lessons from Shannon Sharpe the last two nights. Even Mrs. Stoosh noticed him flubbing the score like three or four times earlier in the broadcast.

Okay Sid. All you gotta do is beat Turco 4 times in one period, make sure Huet doesn't give up any goals, and the MVP is all yours.

Does anyone know what song they keep playing after goals are scored? It's techno, but if they'd ever let it go past the same intro beats, I think it may actually be that song we were trying to figure out a few games ago (the one that's similar to 'Black Betty').

Emerick is a better announcer than he's been these two nights. Doing all-star festivities takes a different skill than doing a normal game.
I think you people are just looking for something to whine about though.
Emerick's one of the best in the business, as rated regularly by international hockey magazines and authorities.
