Another Question

We have much e-mail to transfer from Outlook and Outlook Express to the mac. it seems like IMAP is the way to go. Is there a way to sign up for a free IMAP account somewhere?

I don't have a Mac because they are evil but I did find this link at O'Reilly which may (or may not) be helpful:

Why would you want to use IMAP? If you are transferring your email and settings, you ought to be able to export to a disk of some sorts (floppy, cd, etc) and then import on the Mac.

Excuse me, perhaps I should have said flash drive. I just figured a regular 3.5 floppy would be cheaper.

Actually, the first COBOl program I ever wrote (Yes we used punch cards), eliminated an old IBM 407 tabulator. You know, the ones with the wire boards that we used to call breadboards

I think myrealbox.com (a Novell demo site) still gives IMAP (+SSL, too) access; they're not always accepting new users, though. If it's available, try that, though.

I think Daniel is right on this one, you should be able to Export / Import... I bought one of those new Mac Minis and thats how i did it to get them from PC to Mac.

I do not know... but a quality regualr 4.7G DVD is about $0.30... so it isn't like it would break the bank to backup.
