Seems like not participating at all I any discussion is the way to go. And people wonder why democracy does not work.

Re: Beer Warz dead thread
The way Warz works at least, once you participate, you are a target. If you stay silent, you can usually last to the last few rounds.
Unless you are me, Rylan, or nan, then you're targeted immediately.
Despite all the complaints about participation, the model never changes, and never will. The old adage out of sight, out of mind comes into play here. Even when mentioned, a non-participant will be forgotten, once the people who are actually participating begin to turn on each other (and they will).
Unless you are me, Rylan, or nan, then you're targeted immediately.

i constantly try to rid the game of quiet/non-participating members early and often, and usually get ridiculed for it. no one ever listens to me.

I'm not crying about it, I enjoy it actually.mac5155 wrote:DocEmrick wrote:The way Warz works at least, once you participate, you are a target. If you stay silent, you can usually last to the last few rounds.

Yeah, it's tough to get them early though, but by the end of the game it's an "Ah-ha" moment. For some reason, the mantra "First poster gets lynched" lurks in the back of everyone's mind.count2infinity wrote:i constantly try to rid the game of quiet/non-participating members early and often, and usually get ridiculed for it. no one ever listens to me.

Yeah, I've learned my lesson. I repeatedly participate early, and I repeatedly get voted off for it. Future games? I am staying as quiet as possible.

Re: Beer Warz dead thread
The formula has held true for the games I've modded and participated in. This game, I wanted to see if I could lend any credence to it, and as soon as I talked, I was on my way to getting voted out.shafnutz05 wrote:Yeah, I've learned my lesson. To be honest, I really stopped following this game as soon as I died. And agreed, I would talk, make a mistake, and get blown up for it. I learned never play from your phone, it can wait until I am home from work.

Well the more you talk, the more ammunition people will find. Unfortunately, I do not enjoy the game unless I am talking.

I'm generally the same way. In games where I've been busy/had other issues to attend to (Rylan wrote:Well the more you talk, the more ammunition people will find. Unfortunately, I do not enjoy the game unless I am talking.

I know the original Mafia party game was invented as a psychological study. I'd be interested to see what that study's findings were.
