Sticktime in Pittsburgh
Anyone know anywhere to do a little ice-hockey sticktime during the weekends? Airport ice arena has it on Saturdays and Sundays, but their ice sucks, the place is a dump, it costs 15$
, and I am a cheap college bastard. Seems like they raised the price because they know no one else has it. But, does anyone know of some place, reasonably close to Pittsburgh, that has stick time during the weekends?

What is the difference between Pick-up and "stick time"? Is there no actual game played in stick time?Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:I remember that the Bladerunners in the area used to have them.

Correct! Give that man a kewpie doll! The Snapshot wrote:What is the difference between Pick-up and "stick time"? Is there no actual game played in stick time?
If enough people show up at stick game, games will break out on occaision though. For the most part, it just ends up being open ice. It' really sucks with no goalie around though.

Stick Time is not a term I'm familiar with here in Jersey. I guess that if there is ice here, we call it open hockey - no matter if a whole game breaks out or not.netwolf wrote:Correct!
