Re: Monsters I Dead Thread
By the way. Canaan, can you tell me why you voted to lynch me on day one and then turned right around and protected me on day two?
That seemed so illogical to me that it's the biggest thing that convinced me you were RED. That, and the fact that you said you were still trying to figure out from my posts that I was a 'good guy' AFTER the REDS had targeted me.
I'm struggling to understand those two things, together they seemed such an Ironclad indication you were a RED.

Re: Monsters I Dead Thread
Continuing to go after canaan after he role claimed so aggressively was not the best idea. There was no good reason to kill canaan that day based on what he brought up. Even if he was lying, I would have just disregarded what he said going forward until his story was verified or proven wrong. It was too early in the game to take out a potential green RP, especially with the powers he claimed.ExPatriatePen wrote:Bhaw, what did you mean by this post? I know you are newer, but when you have to go out and start making up roles as a red, it's hard to come up with the detail all at once like canaan did. I've come up with some elaborate stories to cover up my red role in the past and canaan's seemed to natural. So maybe it was experience saying it was dumb, but I just would have never taken canaan out at that point.
And to make matters worse, you insistence would have led me to kill you.
And wasn't saying YOU were dumb. The fact that canaan got voted off was dumb on the village. Someone should have questioned a player campaigning so hard to remove a potentially very useful green. Even though you weren't red, you probably should have died that day phase had someone been smart and spoken up.

It was the most illogical (and unnecessary) role claim I've seen in about 30 games.

Re: Monsters I Dead Thread
meh, I get it. There have been so many games and all the tricks have been used. As a green RP, you have to weigh coming out early and people thinking it's unnecessary vs the inevitable coming out when you are almost voted off and having everyone say you are just making a fake claim to swing the vote. There's no "good" time to come out where some people won't still accuse you of being bad.columbia wrote:It was the most illogical (and unnecessary) role claim I've seen in about 30 games.

I didnt think it was terrible. I mean he couldve saved his SAVE and acted as an angel-lke character, but the reaction from the village was completely backwards. They took what they knew and ran with it ... I was surprised by the reaction -- def not the one Id assume. Maybe in limbo, but not so sure that Canaan was red?

That was a problem.....everyone else was AWOL.
If people had been participating, he wouldn't have been killed then, I'm guessing.

Re: Monsters I Dead Thread
I couldn't disagree anymore. He was going to have to role claim because of how he stuck his neck out to save IE. Now I have no idea what possessed him to make that claim since it essentially stuck his neck out for a player he had no idea about.columbia wrote:It was the most illogical (and unnecessary) role claim I've seen in about 30 games.
But I do think the role claim was necessary given his stance on the IE vote. I am interested in hearing what made everyone vote Canaan after the IE vote and my ensuing vote on Ulf? No trust?
Piffle. All the participation you needed was me voting for Ulf, but that small contingent on villagers took it upon themselves and ultimately cost us dearly.columbia wrote:If people had been participating, he wouldn't have been killed then, I'm guessing.
