It's been an interesting, slow unwinding of his character. He didn't seem to have as much malicious intent early on, but this year it's gotten progressively worse as he's closer to being exposed. Next weeks preview seemed to hint at some sort of limit for hm though.

Super intense episode this week. Wow.
Spoiler:
This is my thought process.
Juice - the walking dead
Gallindo Cartel - Will attempt to take out the California Sons after they're done using them because they are just more trouble than they're worth.
Unser - Will attempt to do something to Clay and get killed
Clay - will become even more paranoid and alienate everyone
Jax - Will somehow try to comfort clay
Gemma - Will do nothing to Clay but may find a way for Jax to find the letters.
Tara - dead

Spoiler:
I think in the end Unser kills Clay. There's always been an underlying relationship between Gemma and Unser. Never really understood where that was going, but seems more clear now.

Sort of off topic, but how about the scene in the Niners' club....WOW....man, I love Alvarez. :)

Anyway, I think Clay is done for this season now more than ever. I'll be interested to see how Gemma passes off her facial injuries. Also how Opie deals with Piney's death. Tara's sort of on my nerves at this point--I don't think Jax deserved her hospital hissy fit.

REALLY hoping that the Juice situation works out---he's one of my favorite characters. That storyline has really been intense. The way Theo Rossi plays that character....some of his scenes are gut wrenching.

Spoiler:
I'm going the opposite. I think Clay kills Unser at some point, and that sets off a big chain reaction. I can't see anyone other than Jax killing Clay, maybe Opie, to spare his best friend from that.

Also, I don't think there's going to be any question what happened to Gemma. Not after the way Clay came busting into the clubhouse with a bag and his own face all beat up. The guys will know, they aren't dumb.

Yeah, now that I think about it, you're probably right about Unser/Clay. That makes more sense.

Per Sutter's Twitter:

sutterink kurt sutter
Do not miss CALL OF DUTY tonight. 90 minutes of explosive fun. My homage to gaming and once again we say GOODBYE to a member of SAMCRO.

(I'm thinking he's just talking about Piney's funeral.)

Also a good write-up in Rob Owen's blog:

I can all but guarantee that Opie kills clay. First his wife, now his dad.

Thank you, Unser, for at least starting to do the right thing.
Spoiler:
Tig turning in his SAA patch surprised me. I really thought he was just going to beat the hell out of Clay. And Tara smashing up her hand? *shudder*

Agreed. It looked like right side of the chest and left side. This show is so brutal. Poor Opie.

Just got around to watching the finale. All I have to say is wow.
Spoiler:
Can't kill Clay cause the Irish won't deal if he's not there and on top of that the Cartel will end Jax if the deal doesn't happen. Potter is a badass. Liked his character the entire season. He got royally **** by the gov. I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of him in the series. I see Clay stepping down after the deal with the Irish and Cartel, leaving charming and leading a rogue faction of SOA against Jax at some point. The sheriff I feel seemed like he feels as if SAMCRO's actions are in the best interest of his community and that despite being on the right side of the law will allow them to exist. It seems like a parallel to Sheriff Hale that was killed early in the series. 2 more season to go and really after slowing down a bit with the whole Ireland arc has just gotten better and better. Can't wait.

Minimal point maybe, but I thought the fade into the picture of Gemma and JT at the end was awesome!

Agreed. They really set up the parallel of JT and Gemma to Jax and Tyra this season.
