Pavel, I posted that I had to be gone for an hour. Why did you vote me off in the meantime? (Just that you had to get to class?)

Re: UFO Warz Post-Game
It was really weird playing with Pavel Bure. I consider him my sensei, of sorts. I learned the game watching his few previous games.
So I went with him on Benny Fitz. Then, a few turns later, I thought he was playing like I would play if I were bad. Mistake there. But overall it was an odd dynamic.

Doc sent me this PM during Day 3 (before you guys started voting for me):Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:I believed that obhave was blue until she came out with that story. As well, mac's thing about "intercepting" messages was false as well.
Both plays were true genius, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them unfold, and the responses they got.
I asked how I got it, and got this response:Congratulations! You've picked up a "FREE PASS" card. This card remains in your possession throughout the remainder of the game, if unused. It grants you the following...
1.) A chance to protect yourself once during a phase of your choice
2.) The ability to see the identity of a player
You must indicate the use of this card at the beginning of a phase. You are only eligible to use this card once.
To make it fun, I got creative in how I got it and what would happen after, but it didn't come out of no where. You can ask how, you can't ask from who.
You are walking in a field. Suddenly, you spot a shiny metallic object. You pick it up. It has special powers, but only enough power left for one final use.
You are allowed to share that you have technology.
You are not allowed to share the abilities you have.

Yeah from the info I was getting there was no way we could win as it seems Malka was bad and IE could recruit. The slim chance we had was just eh. Fun game, slightly unbalanced but still real fun.redwill wrote:Pavel, I posted that I had to be gone for an hour. Why did you vote me off in the meantime? (Just that you had to get to class?)

I was following my nose early and it led me to role players but not ones we wanted. *shrugs*redwill wrote:It was really weird playing with Pavel Bure. I consider him my sensei, of sorts. I learned the game watching his few previous games.

I think that having the three groups would be okay with more people. With only 16, it felt unbalanced and hard for the village.

And my quick vote/unvote on redwill where IE thought she finished it off did what I wanted it to but what she said made me think she was clear. If she would have just voted and not said anything I was gonna burn her. I also thought redwill was just keeping quiet. *sigh*

Rylan, you got a little bit of everything in this game.
You got past round 1, then you got mind controlled. What more can you want from a Warz game?

A mind control session usually goes for $39.99, so I would feel good about the free treatment.

I dropped the ball and forgot to mention MKULTRA, one of the textbook conspiracy cases that actually happened.

One of the nice things about rooting a game in science fiction
is that you can, well....make just about anything happen and it still makes sense.

I really tried to give Benny an out, but he seemed to be more interested in being right than staying under cover...

I still couldn't believe it when the village voted off redwill, but I guess I shouldn't have been surprised with the amount of confusion, plus Malk had been out the entire game, so when he came on board at the very end, he didn't know what to believe. It worked out nicely for a decent ending.

I think things were well balanced and very interesting. Even more factions in a bigger game would be great.
