Well...it certainly shocked the system of the game, but you were doing a good job of pretending not to be blue.thehockeyguru wrote:why is thatcolumbia wrote:It made sense to the mods.

Probably because you can fly under the radar while being out in the open because you are usually posting a lot without making a ton of sense. Hiding in plain sight.thehockeyguru wrote:i still have no idea why mac recruited me.

When you have a faction of 4 you don't need to do much pretending. No one that was purple really did once we had the numbers.

You're a smart player too. If things went south, I almost recruited you just to sacrifice you and keep my cover.Pavel Bure wrote:Probably because you can fly under the radar while being out in the open because you are usually posting a lot without making a ton of sense. I thought the obvious choice was SDD because you'd control his power.

Any game were the doctor can protect himself on every night (and in this game cant be recruited) is skewed terribly toward the village. The only way to lose is an epic fail.

Seriously, it was weird that I survived two kill attempts and one abduction attempt and we still lost.

I was told that it may not work, so I figured if I tried to get someone who had a role they were unrecruitable. I thought you were good based on day 2-3ishthehockeyguru wrote:I thought the obvious choice was SDD because you'd control his power.

Re: UFO Warz Post-Game
That was the one thing that I mentioned to IE for our recruit on Night 4, that getting SDD's kill would be huge. We would have two powers, ensure we weren't eliminated by the Village at nigght and also get the creditbility that SDD gained by being a known Green. If a bandwagon was started on one of us a known Green could come to our aid.

I was amazed that I wasn't killed during the night phase after I revealed myself as the green vig.

Re: UFO Warz Post-Game
What messed mac and i over was the random action during the day, we should have chose no action.

Random number draw was 5, between 1 - 5.
Random.org drew a 5.
This action will appear amidst the voting. The three actions to choose from include:
1.) Kill Girgio Tsoukalos
2.) Plant explosives at Symposium
3.) Hidden Hand, recruit one more for red (50/50 chance that recruit agrees)
So I take it mac chose 2? What would have happened if he chose 1?

Not unbalanced at all. The bad guys just have to start killing off other members of the town. On the first day after we were sure redwill protected himself I kept dropping lines about the baddies being dumb enough to go for him again in the hopes that if he couldn't protect himself 2 nights in a row they would think he was just going to protect himself again and be able to protect someone else in a sense giving double protection due to the can he or can't he protect himself times in a row mind ****.thehockeyguru wrote:Any game were the doctor can protect himself on every night (and in this game cant be recruited) is skewed terribly toward the village. Re: UFO Warz Post-Game
The random actions really **** **** up. If that bomb doesn't occur the town has a nice advantage. Unfortunately it thinned the numbers quite a bit at that stage in the game and if I'm being honest thought it was tomfoolery by the mod of the game to make things more difficult.redwill wrote:Seriously, it was weird that I survived two kill attempts and one abduction attempt and we still lost.

Anyone know if there's another game coming up? Might have time to play one for the first time in a long time...

Re: UFO Warz Post-Game
Every night protection ensures the Angel is alive until the end, the is no way around that. To vote for Redwill after it was very clear in the write up that a recruit attempt failed is beyond comprehension. If there is any common sense used at all the Angel never is eliminated and that almost ensures a village victory.Pavel Bure wrote:Not unbalanced at all. Knowing you can protect yourself each night, there is NO REASON not to come out Day 1 and establish some sort of structure for the village. IMO the village has a HUGE advantage if that happens.

Re: UFO Warz Post-Game
The reason is that hopefully the baddies waste a kill on the protected angel. If they know who the angel is, they will likely not go for that person and rather go for unprotected townies.thehockeyguru wrote:Knowing you can protect yourself each night, there is NO REASON not to come out Day 1 and establish some sort of structure for the village.
