Crpl is talking a lot and not in the usual noob posting a lot cause this is awesome way. He's really trying hard to make sense to get heat on people. To me, considering he's a noob, that looks like coaching.Malkamaniac wrote:I looked back. Canaan and I both posted at 4:10. save Columbia there's better logic out there than my initial feeling to base my vote off something rather than nothing.

Both with a "I know Kraftster IRL" connection. Since both joined the board to play a game, it's not surprising that they would be active like that.

I just think he's read some recent games, and IIRC, has offline mafia experience.Pavel Bure wrote:Crpl is talking a lot and not in the usual noob posting a lot cause this is awesome way. You're just on my back cause I'm a noob... I'm talking because this IS fun, and having played off line before I may not be the typical noob. It's just a lot harder to read people without seeing their faces as they communicate. If I have to get lynched becasue I'm new I get it, but don't make it more than that.Pavel Bure wrote:Crpl is talking a lot and not in the usual noob posting a lot cause this is awesome way. Re: WWXX GAMEPLAY THREAD
The only sane reason as to why it's happened the second time is because I know nothing of Benny's playstyle. That being said, he's been "combative" enough with me to justify my vote staying on him.Pavel Bure wrote:Crpl is talking a lot and not in the usual noob posting a lot cause this is awesome way. I'm fine with going the quiet route and if LITT is bad, and that's the route that people want to go I'm gladly in. I'll tell you this right now. I'm staying on Benny fitz until I actually have to switch. I'm not going to be one of those players that switches 4-5 times because they're that easily convinced otherwise.

And maybe becasue the sooner I get my post count higher the less I'll be seen as a noobCrpl_Klinger wrote:You're just on my back cause I'm a noob... If LITT's awol, i think thats worse than shoddy reasoning at this point in the game.

Re: WWXX GAMEPLAY THREAD
I don't want to go with a crpl vote just because he is a noob that is pushing hard. My first game I asked tons of questions and was generally annoying and still didn't get voted off. I don't think it is the time for a vote against the noob who is actually trying to contribute early in the game.
I don't really like columbia's role claim of blue right at the beginning when he had no heat on him. I'm not sure what to think about that.
It might be hypocritical for me to vote for LITT for being silent when I too have been, but might go that route.
I'm going to read through everything again then submit a vote.

Re: WWXX GAMEPLAY THREAD
You commented that you liked Nan's vote on me. Nan turned out to be blue, so essentially his vote was a complete stab in the dark. It seems odd to me that you could get on board with that.

Re: WWXX GAMEPLAY THREAD
The quiet vote is lame IMHO, but I can't discount quiet as a strategy. Just more often than not voting quiet for quiet sake votes a blue, and that is one less guess the reds have to make.

I think one of the people who went after Benny is bad. Possibly trying to get someone who contributes consistently out with shoddy reasoning.

Re: WWXX GAMEPLAY THREAD
That's exactly how I feel about it imo. If the reds know that a person is quiet, it's much easier to attack the quiet blue knowing that he won't defend himself, or it's less likely to happen.relantel wrote:The quiet vote is lame IMHO, but I can't discount quiet as a strategy. If you need to see that I'm blue, by all means. Other than that meh. I'm glad I kept my vote on Benny now.

Re: WWXX GAMEPLAY THREAD
i definitely agree that most of the time we dont hit a red, but quiet players dont work for us either. Most of the people contributing right now are great at adding valuable discussion and can def help down the stretch. If we play out your scenario to its natural conclusion two things occur...relantel wrote:The quiet vote is lame IMHO, but I can't discount quiet as a strategy. 1) we'll have removed all the talkers and be left with a boring game filled with people who werent around and are just voting to get it over with
2) we'll reward quiet behavior
Neither of which are desirable. Now it's also true that it gives the reds a chance to kill again (night phase), but we also get the chance for another see. I proposed this last game and still think its a great plan of attack; what if we let the seer sort through the talkers, and the vig through the nons? My guess is that the green RP's are trying to help and thus talking so they wont be shot.
