Wade Redden ~ left the Senators for personal reasons

Anyone know more about why Redden is gone?
Just curious....

not looking for tabloid dirt.

Chris Phillips is out for them for time also.

All I can find is:

The Senators learned this morning (Thursday) they will be without defenceman Wade Redden for tonight's matchup of two of the three Eastern Conference's division leading teams Redden has apparently returned home to Lloydminster, Sask., to attend to an as-yet-undisclosed family matter.

I think someone in Redden's family died earlier in the year.

I asked my Dad & he said Redden's Mom has been battling breast cancer for a number of years & now she's not very well. The cancer has been complicated with something else.
