Re: Box Office Wars Game Thread
I was a blue mason that got stuck working with Klinger. As I said before, I have actually had this same exact role in a previous game, where the mason I was working with was actually a red. If I recall correctly, it came back to bite us hard at the end of the game. It's the same thing here.

Kraft was blue according to gaucho
Shaf was blue according to gaucho but earlier in the game.
Rel was role blocked and there was still a kill.
Everyone has been cleared in some way. Has anyone seen anything in any write up that would indicate someone switched sides? I also think there has to be a 3rd red, so I doubt there was a side switch. I have no idea why a role block wouldn't work.

Re: Box Office Wars Game Thread
Rel's role has been a little bizarre throughout the game. I think there absolutely has to be a third red: NAN + Klinger + ?. I didn't see anything that indicated a recruit throughout the game. Hence why I'm sticking with relantel. Yeah, it doesn't make all the sense in the world that your role block didn't work, but what else is there?TheHammer24 wrote:Kraft was blue according to gaucho

The only thing that worries me is that if Gaucho saw people, they came back town but weren't really town. But from my interactions with Klinger, I doubt Kraftster is bad.

Maybe my role block only would stop a red role - or a red seer. Perhaps, it can't stop a red kill altogether. This makes sense.

Re: Box Office Wars Game Thread
roleblock should roleblock no matter who. The reason there was no effect was there was no action to be blocked.

Re: Box Office Wars Game Thread
I'll check in tomorrow, but I'm ready to cast my vote for Rel. I can't wrap my head around any other option. I think Role Block, at least PB's idea of them, do not work to block a red kill at night.

I'm not really sure, but I guess I like rel a little bit better than shaf just because his role seems odd and maybe there's something quirky there. Maybe only his blank shots can be blocked? I'm not sure. He seems to be a bit more eager to get a vote than shaf in the past few posts too, so, here goes nothing.

there's a sure vote to lose. Makes me wonder if the shaf vote is misplaced...Kraftster wrote:I'm not really sure, but I guess I like rel a little bit better than shaf just because his role seems odd and maybe there's something quirky there. Is there anything to gain from a no-vote? We'd have 3 left tomorrow. I doubt it.

What else could we have done:
Gaucho wrote:Ok, this is not going anywhere and I have to leave soon, so here goes: I am the Cop and I should have never let you people kill mac, who I investigated night 1. Kraftster is not red, slappy is not red, and provided he has not been recruited, shaf is not red either. That is all, good luck.

Re: Box Office Wars Game Thread
We really had no choice but to trust Gaucho (especially when he came out as green). Barring one of the following:
1) Kraftster having an ability that lets him show up as "town" when he is seen.
2) A late recruit that was never mentioned in any writeup.
I don't see any way we are wrong here.

Yeah. I could have magically turned Red last night, and you would have lost, but there's nothing we can do. I expected Kraft forever, and I wanted to kill him, but Gaucho + your comments on Klinger seem to make that super ill-advised. I had to ask PB what role blocking was, and the PM seemed to indicated that it wouldn't work on a sole red to block the kill. That sealed it for me. I couldn't relay that to you obviously.

Shaf, imagine the call of the 79 Daytona 500, re Allison and Yarborough on the backstretch. "They know they've lost". Just a matter of which one of you pulled it off.shafnutz05 wrote:Pavel you are killing me here brah
