I mean, not much. It's a pretty silly benefit. Basically it says you can PM but you don't what his identity is....I mean we might as well be able to PM anyone because there isn't much to talk about really...especially if we can't trust each other.
So again, why not confirm it yesterday after THG mentioned it?
My original thought was he selected me and that he is likely a role player. I didn't mention anything. Ulf comes after me and I figured that instead of letting this info go to waste, I better come out with it.
I think there could be a possibility for a package or something, but since there has been only 1 night we can't tell.

WHY NOT!!
His outing himself wasn't really putting himself in the confidence of the village, I had no reason to step and say anything because I don't know what he is...why should I have. I did now cause he seems to have turned on me.
If I were blue I would have come out like THG did and stated what I knew. If I were you and the other person came out, I would have confirmed. Reason being, as a blue there's really no reason not to; just get as much info as you can out there for everyone to dissect. I just think a role player is more likely to be apprehensive to expose himself.
My guess is that both are blue and red will through this in there to get more chatter from the village.
After the strange events of Night 1 in the village of Stull, and the realization that although nothing occurred, the villagers decided to discuss and take action as the feeling was strong that something was amiss.
The villagers met during the day. Accusations were thrown out. Secret were told between certain villagers. As the day wore on, the villagers realized that they could not trust anyone.
Determined to put an end the uneasiness in the village, the villagers decided to sacrifice a villager as a warning to others.
relantel was thrown out as a candidate to be the sacrifical lamb. Arguments for and against the move were thrown out. However, at the end of the day, the village was unable to come up with a concesus and decided to think it over again for the night.
As the village retired for the evening, uneasiness still hung in the air.
The village Oracle sat quietly in his hut, trying to determine if any villagers were hiding a secret. A vision appeared in his head. A cloaked villager emerged in this vision, pulling back his hood, ready to expose who was under there. Then everything went black.

I didn't get any options, that ability was given to us.
I'm not buying that it was some sort of random event that allowed us to speak to one another. If I didn't initiate it you had to be the one who used some sort of power.
All I know is "actions" took place night 1 that allows me to talk to you.
FWIW: Right after THG reveled this, I thought back on an earlier game:
mac5155 and I had the ability to PM one another and were notified of that at the same time.
(We never used it....partially because I thought he was red in that game.)

I was given the opportunity to do something that was supposed to help the village and I did it. Atleast that's what I was told....all that happened was that I was able to communicate with you. It didn't help the village really at all....either way, if I were creative I'd explain this in a way that would make things look better to you, but I can't and i'm telling the truth to the point that i'm allowed to per Redwill.
