I didn't even notice if the trunk popped or did the gun popping up actually open the trunk?count2infinity wrote:ah, that makes more sense.JeffDFD wrote:I assumed it was just because it was linked to the trunk release button on the keyscount2infinity wrote:did you notice while driving the car, the nazi guy was trying to direct him where to park. I don't really care either, there are going to be some stretches in any show.

1) Given the set up, the weapon might not have been able to rotate freely with the trunk closed. I'm also not sure it would be a good idea to have the ejected shell casings pinging around inside a closed trunk.
2) If the trunk was left closed, it would have been visually much less interesting. And this was a TV show, after all.

Yeah, and Walt was pretty lucky to know that the entire meeting would take place in the living room, with everyone in attendance.

There is no theory. If it was in fact a "dream" there is literally zero closure in the entire series and the show might as well have ended in the previous episode.

Closure is overrated.

A Breaking Bad fan group paid for an obit in the Albuquerque Journal for Walter White

A closed trunk would also have poor air circulation for cooling the gun.tifosi77 wrote:count2infinity wrote:did you notice while driving the car, the nazi guy was trying to direct him where to park. Every meeting he had at that complex took place in that room, so it was a logical assumption on his part. They also seemed to tool around together at all times. Luck, or Walt just knew his enemy pretty damn well.GSdrums87 wrote:Yeah, and Walt was pretty lucky to know that the entire meeting would take place in the living room, with everyone in attendance.

Really cool video put together to the tune of "El Paso," which was played during the final episode. You have to think at what point VG decided to use this song, because it does a nice job in explaining the show to an extent.

This has been making the rounds on the local TV stations for a couple days now.
Breaking Bad: Academy Award-Winner Anthony Hopkins' Fan Letter To Bryan Cranston
(warning for some mild grown up language)
Cranston shared the note with the cast members mentioned by name and one of them (Gomez) posted it on his Facebook wall.

Re: A little late, but... Breaking Bad???
Sorry to bring this back from the dead but I just finished watching it last night and just had to say I am very satisfied with the ending. I think this is the hardest I tried to not spoil a show for myself and I did a surprisingly good job. Wish there was more, but all good things come to an end. I guess from what people have said I need to check out the wire now.

Re: A little late, but... Breaking Bad???
I remember when my friends would look at me incredulously when I said I had no interest in starting Breaking Bad. When I finally caved and started watching, I flew through the first 4 and a half seasons in less than a month. Now I'm the one trying to convince my friends and family to start watching.

I did the same thing. Finally caved and then binge watched the entire show. Ended up being my favorite show, ever.Staggy wrote:I remember when my friends would look at me incredulously when I said I had no interest in starting Breaking Bad. Re: A little late, but... Breaking Bad???
My problem was I was watching it on Netflix, then cancelled Netflix, then between working away from home and moving I missed some episodes and didn't want to miss stuff. So when they had the marathon on before the 5B season I recorded them all and just recently finished. I hope I can get my wife to watch it because I wouldn't mind watching it again and seeing things from a different perspective.

5 endings that Vince Gilligan said were seriously debated.

Eh, I only really like the one about Skyler's fate. If those were the options, they made the right choice.

Re: A little late, but... Breaking Bad???
I always bought the idea of Skyler committing suicide. That seemed like a plausible and almost likely fate for her character considering where she was in the first half of season 5. I don't know if it would have worked when you also have Hank getting murdered though unless the writers wanted a much darker conclusion. But they seemed to want to give the kids some sort of optimistic future. So if Skyler killed herself I think they would have had to cut out Hank's death and show/imply that him and Marie would take care of the kids.

Re: A little late, but... Breaking Bad???
I would have loved to see the Walt Jr. line play out. The entire series I kept thinking to myself, "don't be surprised when Walt Jr. Dies.... don't be surprised." Because I just had this feeling it was coming. Never did... oh well.
