I was scanning the dial and not sure what station it was, but someone was saying that they weren't going to have the governor on because the governors hatchet men told the station that he would only talk about the Steelers and the Super Bowl, no other subjects. This person went on to say that they told said hatchet men "no thanks, if we can't ask the questions we want, we aren't giving him a platform".
Good for them.
Good for them.

Stan asked Rendell that question, and he tiptoed thru it and kept blaming the Pens for not talking to him now. He strongly intimated that public money is available in the form of bonds, but suggested that he can't do anything if the Pens won't talk to him. He also said that he's been trying to sit down with the Pens for over a year! He is such a lying scummy piece of crap.
The Pens will have to, at some point, call him on this and figure out a way to have a backdoor discussion with him, or else he is just going to blame the whole fiasco on them.

The problem is that Gov. Pigbreath has no interest in keeping the team in Pittsburgh so meeting with him will do no good, and that is assuming he would even talk to them through backdoor channels. They couldn't release that information publicly either because then they are screwed with their Isle of Capri agreement. I hate that man more than words can even describe!!bill from turtle creek wrote:Stan asked Rendell that question, and he tiptoed thru it and kept blaming the Pens for not talking to him now. O where, o where has Mark Madden gone!! I wonder if Rendell would have gone on with Madden. I HIGHLY doubt it.
Unfortunately neither Stan, Crowe, or Junker are knowledgeable enough about the details in the agreements and the entire situation to deal a skilled liar of Pigbreath's caliber.

I think Stan has been very supportive in this issue. And in fact he specifically stated, that while "everyone knows which side of the aisle I stand on, I would have NO PROBLEM in standing with the other side in this issue."Abe Frohman wrote:Do NOT expect much out of Stan. If memory serves, Savran was recently recruited (unsuccessfully) to run as a DEMOCRAT for public office. Should he have ANY future political aspirations, Stan will toe the line of support for the past DNC-chairman named RENDELL...
He said in so many words, that he would make this a priority. And would not stop talking about it until it was decided. And also that he would use his show as a platform to speak against those who opposed it. (in so many words.)

I agree. I think Stan will be out in front on this issue. The thing that worries me is that Stan can be a softie at times and Pigbreath didn't get to be DNC Chair and Gov of PA by being stupid. When speaking with him, people will HAVE to have their facts straight. Pigbreath said a few things that were completely wrong on the radio yesterday and both Stan, and Crowe and Junker just sat there in shock and were unable to correct him.td_ice wrote:I think Stan has been very supportive in this issue.
