I used to like Bubba, but he's struck me as more and more of a D-bag ever since he won his first major. He's going to hit driver on that hole during the tournament, just extraordinarily childish of him to stomp up, use his 3 iron, and then stomp down the fairway like a baby.
Bubba has always seemed to be a bit bipolar. I've seen him berate a reporter for no apparent reason (note -- this was in 2008) but then he'll act all playful in other situations. He's always had a problem with eye contact during interviews, though that is getting better. And he often talks about doing stuff for the fans. Not trying to defend what he did with this long drive competition but a little of me thinks that he didn't want to go up there and lose. So he took the easy way out and just hit iron AND THEN said in his press conference 2 hours later that the 10th hole (where the competition was held) was a hole he'd definitely hit driver on.

As for Paddy, he's done that Happy Gilmore stuff on the range numerous times. If you ever go to a tournament, just watch Paddy on the range. He's done that, he hit drivers off his knees this week. Other times, he'll be balanced on one leg and hit drivers. The guy is constantly tinkering and doing different drills to find something that works.

Look out PGA, Rory is in the freaking zone.
Golf really needs a dominant player again just so we can stop talking about Tiger Woods.

Played some golf with shad today... we played with an older couple and the lady played perfect old person golf. 100-150 yard shots and straight as an arrow, every shot.

Btw, I'm pulling for Ricky.

I think I'm pulling for Phil. I think I subconciously hate Rickie because of that stupid mustache he had.

This is one of the best final rounds I've watched in a long time.

Yeah this is incredible. A bit disappointing it'll probably have to finish tomorrow. Can't decide if I'm pulling for Ricky or Rory, but either way this is the great stuff. Best final round in a major since Augusta in 2011 I'd say.

with all the technology in lenses and whatnot, they could zoom in on a freckle on a dude 500 yards away and be stable. Can someone explain to my why they still feel the need to be right up on the players?

It looks like Tiger gets first pick on all of Nike's golf clothes and leaves Rory the stuff he doesn't want.

Rory's in the zone. Thought he would just be above average after last year but looks like he's on his way to dominance.

Wow, how confident do you need to be to pull out a driver there. I get nervous pulling out the driver on 18 when I'm playing for a six pack.

I know in tennis when it gets dark and the cameras make it seem much lighter than it actually is, they sometimes show a realistic shot to show how dark it is. I wish they'd do that here.
