If it wasn't on my sheet, it's my mistake. Horvat isn't mine anymore. That being said, I still think there's a large disconnect to who use the Gdocs and who don't.

I was pretty sure that we were holding people to their google docs as a rule. I wasn't a fan of the rule, but I think that is the rule.
I don't understand why this should not be enforced. It shouldn't be the other owners' responsibility to keep track of everyone else's' rookies. There is no reason the google doc can't stand as official record when every one of us has access to it. Unless we move to a league where keepers are tracked on site, I see no problems with this set-up.

I think it's that guys like Horvat and Granlund aren't on my radar because I knew that they had been drafted before. And I don't think it's we're targeting players being mismanaged, but that it's just a lucky stumble and sort of provides an advantage for owners to not pay as close attention to everything.
Because its dumb to play a "gotcha" game when we can all agree that Horvat is an eligible rookie and it would serve absolutely no purpose for Malk to not keep him.
The mighty burden imposed by someone saying "hey, he's mine, forgot to add him to the doc" and a team re-picking aside, there's really no good reason to take a tough **** approach. Since that burden is not really a burden at all, it seems dumb to me. If this were a money league that was serious business or there was a maximum number of rookies and therefore a reason to ever cut when before they lose eligibility, it might be different. Alas, this is a non-money league that you're all just playing to compete for second place, so it seems a bit silly.
Well for one the repetitive draft picks. It isn't that hard to do a find within the sheet for the 2014 Draft and Keepers. Anyone not on either of those lists should be sent back into the FA pool.

This too
Well, I agree to an extent. When Horvat was picked, it rang a bell with me. But, I searched the google pages, 2014 draft and 2014 keepers and he wasn't there. So, I figured he was available. But, orpchar is new to the league, so he had no basis to assume Horvat was a retained rookie. He wasn't TARGETING anything.
Definitely not targeting anything/anyone, and like I said it would've been no problem to change my pick, but the more I thought about that, there's nothing keeping someone else from calling tough **** several picks later, and then THEY get Horvat instead of me or Malk. And when a rule is explicitly stated in the league document and has a precedent of being enforced, you have to continue enforcing it.

One might say the standard is the standard.
Well thankfully, I follow the rules of if it's not on the 2014 keeper or draft he's free game.
I see the subtle jabs. I dont remember being "appalled" over Granlund; I think I even offered to repick. Maybe I'm wrote. My support was anchored in the difficulty of remembering who was drafted in earlier years and my dependence on the Pitts doc. Troy and Kraft have better memories. I see both sides. But obviously the tribe elected the tough **** rule. So let's bury the date.
