*snort* ....yes, a position of such import seems like an ideal situation to be hooking up party buddies with plum roles.Ronald A. "Ron" Klain is an American lawyer and political operative best known for serving as Chief of Staff to two Vice Presidents - Al Gore (1995–1999) and Joseph Biden (2009–2011). He is an influential Democratic Party insider

The host of one of the talk radio shows I listen to on Sirius has been taking bets with her guests all week on the over/under for when the Czar would be appointed. Don't remember if anyone had Friday.

The article covers some random rantings by conspiracy theorists. But I posted it for the pic/video.

What is the conspiracy theory? A coworker here that operates at maybe an 8th grade intellectual level, was ranting about Bill Gates and a patent on the vaccine. She was able to spout unconnected thoughts, but any sort of link between Ebola, Bill Gates, Patent, motivation wasn't established.

I read the article, but the people being quoted didn't make much sense either.Troy Loney wrote:What is the conspiracy theory? Why does that render you speechless? She's the national security adviser.

The chain of command to Susan Rice isn't really all that remarkable, I'm just disappointed the president rewarded a total party hack with a seemingly important position.Factorial wrote:Southern Fan wrote:Klain will ultimately report to Susan Rice. I'm speechless.

Re: ¡EBOLA!
Which Government appointment candidacy do you feel your opinion is more valuable on? Surgeon General or Ebola Response Coordinator? I'm having difficulty understanding when an outsider develops a dissenting opinion on these appointments.shafnutz05 wrote:The chain of command to Susan Rice isn't really all that remarkable, I'm just disappointed the president rewarded a total party hack with a seemingly important position.Factorial wrote:Southern Fan wrote:Klain will ultimately report to Susan Rice. Re: ¡EBOLA!
Perhaps it indicates that he doesn't think any of this is really all that important. Give a job to a guy who probably couldn't produce reasonable health policy based on his experience, make him work for an Obama Administration shill that doesn't have much credibility to begin with. Seems like putting on a show more than seeking to get the right people to address a potential crisis.shafnutz05 wrote:The chain of command to Susan Rice isn't really all that remarkable, I'm just disappointed the president rewarded a total party hack with a seemingly important position.Factorial wrote:Southern Fan wrote:Klain will ultimately report to Susan Rice. Re: ¡EBOLA!
I'm not sure, is this a real question? I'm only allowed to develop dissenting opinions about things that happen directly to me or around me? When did I say I had a valuable opinion on it? Aren't we all here to discuss things and give our opinions? My opinion obviously isn't worth anything with matters like these.Troy Loney wrote:Which Government appointment candidacy do you feel your opinion is more valuable on? Why am I not allowed to express disappointment that the president made a very poor appointment for a position that will direct our nation's response to and prevention of any potential outbreaks of Ebola?

Truth be told, I think the appointment isn't going to do the D's any favors in the midterms.
