Went to Caliente Hampton tonight. Fairly average 10 taps and coolers only about half full--they say they're shooting for 300 bottles. Had the "cry for your mommy" wings and pizza. Wings cleared out my congestion just as I had hopes. Most importantly, I had the Draai Laag Geestelijke (saison). Very good beer. Things were a bit hectic as with any place at opening. Lots of Bruery in the coolers. What I looked at was $17.60-$19.50 (750ml). Pretty solid price. Also a bunch of Boulevard which leaves hope of obtaining Saison Brett in PA for once. Huge addition to the North Hills, for sure.
So tonight was actual opening? Crazy.

Looking forward to trying the pizza and wings.
Last night, actually.

It's very small. All high tops, which is less than ideal for Kraftster, 9 month pregnant Mrs. Kraftster, and 3-year old little mrs. Kraft.
Got dinner from there tonight. Pizza was good, Cry to Mommy wings were also good. Pretty nice beer fridge, especially for you Saisonomites.

Probably a long shot, but anyone familiar with southwest of Chicago? Specifically Lemont, Downers Grove, Darien area? Been here for the week and have had nothing but bar food and chain restaurants. Looking for something good for the evening. Sushi/asian or steak and seafood are at the top of the list right now.

Little north but there are good spots on Cermak in Oakbrook. Don't have anything specific, it's been awhile. Have to hit Giordano's though.

Conflict Kitchen will remain closed until the credibility of the letter is confirmed by police. The restaurant in Schenley Plaza serves foods from countries with which the United States is in conflict.
That's awesome.

It's ridiculous how some people refuse to acknowledge that there are two sides to a conflict.

Doesn't really apply in this convo, but if you're ever meandering through the upper midwest and need a good quick burger, Culver's is pretty legit for a fast food place. Might be the only place I've seen a Reuben on a drive thru menu. Their hook is that the ingredients are locally grown farm fresh stuff and the food seems to reflect that. They also sell pints of locally made ice cream out of a walk-up cooler. Neat place.

I didn't eat here this past weekend, but I have eaten at it in the past. I remember the food and beer as being good.

I heard 1201 Kitchen is good, as well.
