The only stuff I listen to that could fall into that category is the oral argument recordings from the Third and Seventh Federal Courts of Appeal.

It's very specific, but we do have some IT pros here. Are there any got InfoSec podcast out there, kind of a podcast version of Dark Reading? Also anything that covers general tech stuff with kind of an edgy/fun slant would be great, something akin to SlashDot in podcat form.

Yea, its only news-type source I go to regularly. I'm a fan. Obviously every source has some bias, but it really is more pure reporting than most sources. Only thing I don't like is probably every-other show they do some highly-specific England art type thing (about some show in London or art exhibit, etc... that I can careless about). They always do it at the very end though, so no harm, I just end the podcast then. I guess if you're into old English rock artists you might like some of that stuff, because a lot of it is some interview or something of one of them.

I've listened to

You Made It Weird with Pete Holmes

with my friend from Cincy and I might add that to the rotation.

I'm jealous of people that can listen to podcasts / music while they work. It seems like that'd make work a lot nicer. I can never do it / messes up my concentration. Listen to podcasts when working around the house / in commute only

The same friend as above does that. He's the one that got me this far into it. He's a spreadsheet wizard and is buried in that kind of work all day and listens to podcasts almost the entire day. I can do it for server builds and stuff but not while reading/researching. I usually listen to them while cooking or working in the garage.

if you're doing any kind of cleaning around your house and you're not listening to a podcast, you're doing everything wrong

Pidcasts make my 40 minute commute bearable. Also whenever I have to drive long distances like when I visit my parents I start saving up on Podcasts so that I can listen to 4 hour long podcasts on a four hour drive. I like them better than music when driving.

What is the difference between The TK Show and This Podcast Stinks? TK Show seems like the actual ESPN radio show, but what is the other one?

Same thing, just different titles. It airs originally on ESPN980 out of DC, but it's certainly not a typical ESPN show. No callers. No athlete guests. Normally only about half the show is sports. I think the ESPN title posts later than the other one.

That's the manager I use as well. Had a helluva time with it after the KitKat update a year or so ago. I had it set to store all the downloaded stuff on the microSD card, but the new OS forbade that. Sucked for a while.

Can anyone recommend any other good podcast managers?

Thanks. I listened to the Wednesday TK show to get a feel for it and liked it a lot, it was mostly him reminiscing about Ben Bradlee and it was good. Listened to an episode of TPS and it was a hot mess in production quality, going to just dump it and keep the ESPN version.

Yeah, it's a lot of him talking about stuff that happens to him, which is oddly appealing.

Also, there seem to be a couple versions of the Espn production. One is under an hour and cuts some things out; the other is split into two forty minute sections.

I have the one that's two ~44min parts for each day. I like it, the only commercials are the ones TK reads and I can't tell if he earnestly wants you to go buy a car in the rain to really test it out or if he's making a joke of it. It's funny both ways, though.
