Also, judging happens when an employee has to decide if weenie is tall enough to ride the thunder bolt

On a related note, I'm talking to a 5'10" tall girl on OKCupid and she's never heard of a Tribe Called Quest, the Gorillaz or Alice in Chains. I don't know if I should even bother pursuing. How can someone not even have heard of them? Even worse that I said those were my 3 favorite bands

Someone could have been studying abroad for a semester and missed the gorillaz. Yes im aware of who composes the gorillaz. And really wasnt a tribe called quest from before weenie's time? Do you also get offended when someone doesnt know Yes?

And if they aren't into grunge/post-grunge/metal they probably won't know who Alice In Chains are off the top of their heads.

I can't fathom any scenario where somebody would exclude a possible mate based on their music choices.

Re: Rylan's Thread of Personal Committed Relationships
I could maybe understand someone not knowing Tribe and AiC but the Gorillas were one of the most important bands of the last decade. You really have to be living under a rock to not know themIdoit40fans wrote:Someone could have been studying abroad for a semester and missed the gorillaz. Yes im aware of who composes the gorillaz. Re: Rylan's Thread of Personal Committed Relationships
I agree. Gorillaz (I know they're not an actual band) never really wrote any deep, thoughtful music...its really just very catchy tunes with a great blend of hip hop and rock. AiC's music really means something on the other hand. But the problem is that the Gorillaz are more mainstream than AiC so not many people even know of them.PensFanInDC wrote:AiC > Gorillas

Its not that she doesn't like them, its that she's never even heard of them. I don't know, I just don't get how an American my age goes without knowing those 3 at all.canaan wrote:I can't fathom any scenario where somebody would exclude a possible mate based on their music choices.

Re: Rylan's Thread of Personal Committed Relationships
That's weird to me. The best relationships dont necessarily spawn from liking the same things. Sometimes, opposites make great partnershipsFreeCandy44 wrote:Yo ;) being a music snob ive become instantly turned off by a potential dates musical choices.
