What the hell kind of place is Gaucho Parilla?

And guess this jabroni can't drive to the burbs to review B & Dz so he puts Wendy's on there instead. A sham rating, I said it, a sham.

Spent a cool $190 at Monterey Bay this evening after tip. That's with an appetizer, 2 glasses of wine, and 2 beers. For 2.

It's assuredly a special-event type of place. If you tried, you could probably get out of there spending $70 between two people, but you'd be hard-pressed to spend any less than that.

It's definitely worth it if you are there for a special event. I like bar food, but it's nice to treat the lady every once-in-a-while.

Fantastic attitude from the staff. It's not a snooty/snotty place at all. I'm sure that there are comparable places as far as service/price is concerned, but I can't think of one that has the same view/ambiance as the Mt. Washington location.

I go to the buffet at the rivers usually twice a year, mainly for the crab legs. It gets worse every time I go.

Is it open yet? Every time I drive by it doesn't look open. Therefore, to answer your question, no I haven't been there yet. I'm waiting with tempered enthusiasm.

I haven't done a curated dinner, but I've eaten at Cure. It was great. We got the GLUTTONY and a meat/cheese app. Nice place, but when someone opens the door in the winter you can feel the chill across most of the restaurant.

I ate at Legume last weekend for my birthday. It was also outstanding. It was a little less hipster than Cure. The beef tartare was good (my first time trying it). Scallops were amazing (it was the sauce and beans they rested on that made it amazing). My old lady had the duck. Crispy skin, nice layer of fat and not too greasy meat. Perhaps the best I've had duck prepared.

Good beer list too. That's why I didn't pick Salt instead; their beer list was almost nonexistent.

Went to legume once. Unimpressed. Crap service and pedestrian food. No desire to return.

Agreed. Much prefer the casual butterjoint that's attached.

I've only been to each once, and Eleven was significantly better. Small sample size though.

Eleven and Casbah are not in the same tranche of restaurants, so I don't its a fair comparison for Casbah. But yea, Eleven is a better restaurant.

Aren't they pretty much the same price per entree?
