Obviously an in person hearing scheduled for Rinaldo. I'm going with 12 games if Letang does have a concussion because while they won't say it, I'm willing to bet they take into account his complete lack of accountability for the hit after the game.
The correct amount of games is what ever it takes to change behaviors. In this case, I don't think any amount of suspension time is going to change Rinaldo's style.

Since this is my thread, I'm going to repost my thoughts from the PR side.
I've been extremely critical of the NHL discipline in past years. Today, I am going to recognize that they are moving in the right direction. This is independent of the Rinaldo decision.
The suspensions have been much more consistent and severe than the past. Campbell and Shanahan were counterproductive in their roles. They only managed to confuse the average fan and anger the die hards. We are actually seeing players get suspended without history and without injuring their opponent, meaning the action is getting disciplined, not the outcome. Obviously there is still more progress to be made, but for now, I will grant the NHL some kudos for working to make it better.
Rinaldo is probably 1 suspension away from getting a harsh enough penalty to remove himself from the league (ie the Flyers dump him b/c the suspension is so long). He's also a guy who doesn't get it, so I suspect this will happen in by end of next season. Hopefully it's something that doesn't ruin another player.
Bortuzzo being suspended for hitting a famous guy showed me that this regime is lost, just like the last one. Giving slam dunk suspensions to Rinaldo and carcillo doesn't do anything for me.

Not looking at those. Looking at the others.
