every current cast is terrible... I don't think anyone has said, "this cast is the best" since the first cast. Every cast is terrible while you're watching, and then later they become popular. The current cast is not the worst cast they've had. There for a while in the 80's all they had was Murphy. I'd say that was the worst cast in the history of this show.

I think it's the internet age doing that more than anything. Youtube is perfect for what SNL was and is... short skits. You don't need to watch SNL now to watch it, if a good/great skit comes around, you can just watch it the next day on the internet.

The internet and on demand is slowly but surely killing watching TV the traditional way. Not to mention neilson rating system is an awful way to track it.

There is a big difference between a live sporting event and a skit show. Sports are something that you want to watch live mostly so it doesn't get spoiled, this kind of show there is no problem watching it on youtube the next day and there is very little chance it gets spoiled.

Every cast has been bad for the last decade. Probably longer. There are one or two good members at a time and thats it. People act like they all suck because when we were growing up there were actually several people on the cast that were good.
