One of my good friends is a creative type higher up at Paramount Home Video, but in the past she worked at New Line. She said that unquestionably the worst person she ever had to deal with was Mike Myers. Verbally abusive and just downright mean.
Was he acting like an ogre?
I suppose you co...........

i'm still confused as to what Win Butler was doing there. he's not exactly famous, so i'm sure most people were asking "who's that awkward looking dude introducing miley cyrus?"

Similar to the question of "why did they get a guy who isn't in the zeitgeist and can't do a stefon impression to do a stefon impression?"

i like...erm liked...ed norton. considering that emma stone clearly worked on her very authentic impression of something that was apparently funny at some point in time, it was just an odd person to do stefon, especially when he tripped over his lines. ed norton is the caliber of actor who wouldn't do that if he spent more than a few minutes rehearsing, i'd wager.

Conversely, she said Beyoncé was super sweet, almost embarrassed at times.

I can't help but wonder if it wasn't semi-intentional so that they'd have a reason for Bill Hader to come out.
Indeed. I also almost think Norton is so committed that he added the tripping and laughing himself, since that's what Hader did almost every time he did Stefon.

Norton said himself, that it was difficult for him as you can't try to be Stefon, the best you can try to do is be Bill Hader being Stefon. Was he fantastic? No... but that's not what he does, so I'll give him a pass. Doesn't take away from how great of an actor he is.
Went to the SNL 40 Red Carpet (outside, not inside) and it was pretty awesome. The entire city was stoked about it. Everywhere we went, it was the talk of the town.

at least Norton did Stefon, so while Stefon is iconic he isn't nearly as large of a character as Foley or Roseanne Roseannadanna.
Rolling Stone just did a whole SNL special, complete with lists and such. Ranked all the cast members (called out during the show), the best sketches, and the best characters. They ranked Stefon as the best character in the history of SNL. Ever. Numero uno.

I thought McCarthy did a nice job with Foley. I don't find the Rosennadanna character funny but seemed like Stone was fine.
I thought they both did a good job. Mrs Tif and I were wondering how they were going to work Matt Foley into the show, and we both liked what we got.

I wonder how they came to that conclusion... I mean they have Wayne Campbell, the clear cut #1 at #2. Mr. Robinson at #6, Matt Foley #9 and The samurai outside the top 10?

"What have you done for me lately" comes to mind.
When it's the most recent character being slighted? Ok.
My guess is that Rolling Stone was trying to avoid complete irrelevance by making a BS list that would get people talking about Rolling Stone.
This is a publication that once ranked the greatest rock guitar players and put Eddie Van Halen at #70 (four spots below Vernon Reid, and eight spots behind something called 'Zoot Horn Rollo')
