But I still don't know why JS is running around in a cave or a mine. Some running club? Trying to burn off extra calories???

Luckily the run is in a cave, but it's a 40 minute drive to get there.

Somewhat yes and yes. Not necessarily a club, but there's a 5k in the mine this weekend. Limited to 600(?) people - the time to sign up was very limited - I'm just hoping to finish somewhere in the middle of the pack.Sarcastic wrote:But I still don't know why JS is running around in a cave or a mine. It's amazing how the wind cuts through you when it gets down there. I was out there before sun up today. The -5F isn't so bad but as soon as the wind kicks up it really humbles you.

Also the effect of elevation: standing on an outdoor NYC subway platform when it's 5 degrees and the wind is whipping up.....well, I'd just assume not go through that again.dodint wrote:It's amazing how the wind cuts through you when it gets down there. I was leading a tour on Monday in NYC. Yep, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty were a bit on the chilly side.

Those things can haul about 25k pounds of stone, so I'd imagine he had 10 tons of salt in the dump bed if so... combined with a roughly 15k vehicle weight, that's probably well over 20 tons of weight on 8 square feet of parking garage.MRandall25 wrote:From what I've read, there was a parking garage underneath there.
