Re: Favorite Burger
Wow, didn't have time to read through the thread before... Wouldn't have expected someone to have mentioned Rudnick's.

The garbage burger sounds great, but it's 7 hours from me.the wicked child wrote:BBQ place in Waynesburg... Hot Rods. The Garbage Burger. 1/2 lb patty topped w/ bbq pulled pork, cheddar and "texas toothpicks" (which are deep fried jalapeno and onion straws). Ridiculous. They also do a smoked burger special on Wednesdays which is awesome.
Their mushroom swiss burger gets honorable mention... topped w/ deep fried portabellos and a sweet onion dressing that just makes the whole thing.
For sheer ridiculousness, Rudnick's in Mariana... you basically get a meatloaf on a bun. But the meat is really high quality so it's not just a gimmick... they're damn tasty too. You just don't need to eat anything for the rest of the day.

Re: Favorite Burger
Surprised that no one has mentioned the Flair burger from Chotchkie's as their favorite. Standard combo order comes with a minimum 15 fries, but you always add more.

I had a burger at some place in Mt Washington over the weekend with grilled cheese sammiches substituting for the bun. It was really good.

I had this at the Umami Burger in Las Vegas over the holidays

It made me cry a bit. So flippin' good.

Re: Favorite Burger
It's at the SLS on the Strip at Sahara.

There's also a José Andrés restaurant called Bazaar Meat at the SLS. Super spendy, but outstanding cuisine. Stop off at the bar for a few modernist cocktails and appies, then head to Umami Burger on the other side of the casino floor.

Are the burgers that good there? Myself and another co-worker were out in that area a few years ago, and were not at all impressed with their food.

Okay. That does it. I have to make it back Greene Co in May. Apparently, I have to hit Hot Rods (for the Garbage Burger) in Waynesburg and Rudnick's in Marianna.the wicked child wrote:Woo! Rudnicks for lunch today. In other news, I may not need to eat for a couple days.

Re: Favorite Burger
You guys know what burger is great. Don't laugh, but the McDouble at McD's. It costs like a dollar with change and it's so damn good with a little bit of catchup. Gotta eat 2, cuz they're small.
