Return of the King? Absolutely no question. Easily one of the top films of all time, IMO.

Movie:
Toy Story
Sideways
Apocalypse Now

Actor:
John Travolta, Pulp Fiction
Paul Giamatti, Sideways

Actress:
Frances McDormand, Fargo

Not sure if these count.
The only one that counts is Frances McDormand. None of the others won in their categories. ('Toy Story' wasn't even nominated)
Who knew the Oscars are unable to reward quality.

The best argument against Return of the King is that the Two Towers might actually be better. Other than that, yeah, its that good.

Not to say that IMDB is a totally accurate barometer, but if we are defining "top" as one of the top 10 or 15 films that have EVER been made, it's certainly arguable that it's up there.

An 11.5 hour movie if you have the extended editions, and I've watched it that way a couple times.

The rest of that scene shows someone putting prosciutto on a white bread sandwich with American cheese and yellow mustard. The reaction was justified.

I have no reservations about enjoying a film for idiots. At least I'm not trying to say its one of the best films of all time lol

Give it 20 years, IMDB tends to be heavily tilted towards recent cinema

Spring Breakers was a good movie as well.

Back to the Oscars competition, since this kind of grew from my opinion of Patricia Arquette in Boyhood, I decided to start my research with Best Supporting Actress. They all kinda suck.
