New girl was baaaad. And this is on the heels of a superb episode from last week.relantel wrote:Saw part of the 2nd ep of Last Man on Earth last night. It was airing on Fox Sports 1 of all places. I think it was ok enough to go back and watch the pilot on Hulu but haven't done it yet.
New Girl: A very strange episode, mostly disconnected from itself.
Backstrom: A largely forgettable episode. I wasn't really paying enough attention.

Don't watch Survivor, but Amazing Race is already 1.5 episodes in! 5 couples are on blind dates, which is an excellent addition to game play.shmenguin wrote:survivor and amazing race started a week ago!!? wtf, people? you're supposed to tell me about such things.

House of Cards:
I've got 2 episodes left. Plan to watch them tonight.
Does anyone know how many seasons they plan to make of HOC?

The rumor is that they will have one more 13-episode season, ending after 52 chapters.

I didn't like last nights Always Sunny. Too much Dennis and it just wasn't great. Although watching Danny DeVito dance is always hilarious.

Always Sunny has been on for ten years(!)
I've never watched it, but it's on my list to checkout someday.

I can take it in small doses of 2-3 episodes at a time. It's warped and twisted and a time just plain hystericalDigitalgypsy66 wrote:Always Sunny has been on for ten years(!)

Re: TV Shows
lol! it caught me by surprise too. LOVE the idea of the "blind date" teams though I don't know what they were thinking teaming up a Chinese girl and a black guy. I could tell from the look on her face that she was never taking him home to meet mom and dad.shmenguin wrote:survivor and amazing race started a week ago!!? wtf, people? you're supposed to tell me about such things.

Re: TV Shows
I think CBS is trying to kill off the Amazing Race. Move it to Friday nights, then start it randomly on a Wednesday night with a 90 minute premiere. Oh, at 9:30 PM!
It's one of a handful of "adult" shows we can watch with our kids (the only one I'll watch with them, because the others are The Voice and American Idol, which I despise.)
It gets pretty decent ratings, but it must be expensive to produce.

Re: TV Shows
I don't know about that. in these days of DVRs how many shows do you actually watch when they're broadcast? for me the only show that I watch at it's actual time is Blacklist. everything else I just catch up on the DVR.Digitalgypsy66 wrote:I think CBS is trying to kill off the Amazing Race. I love that AR has moved to Friday nights. when it was on Sundays in the Fall I'd have to record an extra 90 minutes just because of football.

Re: TV Shows
That's absolutely true. I don't own a DVR (never have, actually), but we stream it from a PC using Chromecast when we get a chance later on in the weekend.
I read an article (may have even posted it here somewhere) that talked about how TV networks needed to use more of the week to broadcast new programs, specifically because of DVRs/PVRs and streaming. It was a great idea.
