Big East looking pretty good....my Friars are off to a 3-1 league start.
So impress with Providence HC Ed Cooley. He might be just the guy they have needed all these years.

That was a heckuva win over GTown the other nite after blowing it on the final possession. Outside of Villanova, conference looks pretty wide open. I'm still not quite sold on Seton Hall yet even though they keep finding ways to win.

Yeah- saw that one described as an "Old school Big East Rock Fight-" which it pretty much was.Orlando Penguin wrote:PghSkins wrote:Big East looking pretty good....my Friars are off to a 3-1 league start.

Thought Seton Hall might be the PSU of the Big East in conference play but they are holding their own. DePaul has shown an ability to come out and win a few. Definitely a dangerous league to be in right now. Most teams had pretty solid OOC- so should get a decent representation in the tourney.

Robert Morris is 1 win away from the NCAA Tournament. If the committee had any sense of humor they would put them against Kentucky as a 16 seed at the Consol Energy Center.

Seventh year in a row RMU will be going to the NEC Championship game. Hopefully they pull it out this year and eventually get that tournament win they were robbed of against Villanova five years ago.pittsports87 wrote:Robert Morris is 1 win away from the NCAA Tournament. Mike Rice was 2-0 in NEC Championship games. Andy Toole is 0-4 in NEC Championship games and was the top seed the previous two seasons. This year they'll be heading to Brooklyn to take on top seed St. Francis (NY). Season series was split 1-1, with RMU losing 68-63 at home and winning 67-65 on the road.

Re: College Hoops
Screw it, let us face Kentucky. They'll probably get killed, but it would at least have hype for a 1 vs. 16. Especially if it was at the CEC.

Typed in Robert Morris Dancing, found out there was an artist named Robert Morris. The first image back on google was a topless woman. I am shocked.

I wonder how much longer RMU can hold onto Andy Toole. He's done a fantastic job maintain the quick turnaround for RMU basketball that was started by Mike Rice. I know he received interest the past couple seasons from conferences that would be a small bump in prestige, but I wonder if he's coached his way into an offer from a larger school.

I don't think this season he gets that much love, but if he repeats next year as NEC champs I think he'll leave for a pretty good job.Dickie Dunn wrote:I wonder how much longer RMU can hold onto Andy Toole. Re: College Hoops
haha
third straight year my alma mater Stony Brook was in the America East championship game (winner gets an automatic bid into losing a game to a number 1 seed in the NCAAs) and third straight year they lost (on a last second shot)
I don't really care because I don't have school spirit but I found it funny

Hoping Providence is coming here and playing on Thursday night.
Pretty sure Nova and Maryland will be the main attractions in these "pods."

Re: College Hoops
No way in hell Dook deserves to be a #1 without winning either the regular season or tournament championship in the ACC. Arizona should have been the 4th #1 seed.
