Re: Juice's Thread of Randomness
Ah, yeah, the Monday after arbitrary time change to appease the overlords. Wonderful.
Nothing speeds up workplace productivity like a new "Weekly Activity Report" where I have to recap everything I did every week. I really hate this stuff, it's part of the reason I left my old job. I want to solve problems, not write about myself solving problems. We work on a ticket system, if you want to know who is slacking just run a report in the ticketing system. Argh.

Re: Juice's Thread of Randomness
Welp...after pondering this decision since about 4:30am this morning, I actually called off sick from work today. Half of me is very surprised I did it, and half of me feels extremely guilty. WHY DO I FEEL THIS GUILTY?!!!

Good choice Free. You get sick days for a reason. Use them. Why risk making someone else ill? That'd be something to feel guilty over. Cause then there'd be two (or more) feeling miserable and not performing up to standards.

Re: Juice's Thread of Randomness
Agreed. I used to have to mark my time by task that was tied to a "project site" and there were usually five or more entries a day unless I was working on a longer term development project. Painful when you forget to do it in real time and have to remember what you worked on days ago.dodint wrote:Ah, yeah, the Monday after arbitrary time change to appease the overlords. Wonderful.

You work for the government, the same as me, and you expect for them to use common sense when doing things... :pop: :slug:

See my post above. The government is not alone in requiring excessive "paperwork".Grunthy wrote:dodint wrote:Ah, yeah, the Monday after arbitrary time change to appease the overlords. Wonderful.

People tend to be more forgiving when the target's not a 16-year old girl who isn't really in the public eye.

I agree with schilling. Personally I'm glad their lives are ruined. People like them have caused others to kill themselves. So I have zero sympathy for ******* like that.
