I don't think I said he had a good year...I was just commenting on the talent level...I don't get hung up on a lot of numbers, especially in those kind of circumstances...Letang Is The Truth wrote:If you didn't base it on numbers I'm curious how you thought bortles had a good year?mikey287 wrote:Oh, I didn't know he had bad numbers. Frankly, the numbers don't bother me that much as a rookie on an expansion team because the potential exists with him - at least to me. So if I were a betting man, my guess is that Bortles, Carr, Mettenberger pan out fairly well...Bridgewater and Garoppolo are in that next tier...Manziel is a boom or bust guy (making an early push for bust, but time still remains) and the rest of them are largely forgettable...
So, we'll see how it goes. Progression is the key, not so much his weak DYAR on a borderline expansion team who isn't even sure what continent their home stadium is in anymore...

David Carr to Matt Schaub to Case Keenum to Fitzpatrick/Keenum/Mallett/Savage. I would say consistently bad to surprisingly worse, with Savage being the obvious best of the bunch.Idoit40fans wrote:Did andre change or his qbs got worse?

Just gotta keep your fingers crossed for UM failing and/or some kind of academic scandal. 49ers might look to trade Kapernick because whatever window existed for them seems to have disappeared.Crankshaft wrote:Watching the 49ers fall apart isn't nearly as fun without Harbaugh as their coach.
Woodley to the Cardinals. 1-year, 870k.

Wow, Woodley really fell down the ladder.Dickie Dunn wrote:Just gotta keep your fingers crossed for UM failing and/or some kind of academic scandal. 49ers might look to trade Kapernick because whatever window existed for them seems to have disappeared.Crankshaft wrote:Watching the 49ers fall apart isn't nearly as fun without Harbaugh as their coach.

I have no ill towards harbaugh for leaving. I hope he does well at michigan. The guy was a great coach with the 49ers.
Of all the bad things that have happened so far for the 49ers this off having Willis retire hurts the most. what a player, and seemed like a good person too. He's getting out while he can though and with his health so I can't blame him. Wish more players were smart enough to do that.
Also Kap isn't going anywhere I don't think. He gets this year to sink or swim. I think he will have a bounce back year.

It's a little odd. Things went sour with his contract negotiations last year and he finished the year poorly but he's still a matchup problem. I wonder how far the Saints are going to go here with rebuilding/reloading.MalkinIsMyHomeboy wrote:if that's it, NO got fleecedRocco wrote:Jimmy Graham and a 4th rounder to Seattle for Max Unger and the 31st overall pick. Sense out of New England is that Darrelle Revis is likely to be a Jet, per sources. NE still will make final push. Not over yet.
