I've seen some authentic jerseys they've listed before that weren't quite authentic in terms of lettering and such, but I've never seen anything like this before. Do they really think they're going to get $250 for that?
I just got my Icejerseys.com Crosby jersey, and I'm a little disappointed in the stitching and twill quality. I was thinking of returning it for a http://www.sportsk.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; version of the same because I have heard the quality is better. Should I return it and buy one from there or you guys thing I should keep this one.
looks ok to me inkio. they clda done a little cleaner job on the "8" on the sleeve.
Yeah the 8 is killing me mostly, everything else is pretty decent. Some of the stitching on CROSBY gets a little un-uniformed but maybe I'm being too picky. I bought one from NHL.com originally but returned it immediately because the fake twill one layer crap looked terrible compared to my Malkin Premier

if you are planning on wearing it often i'd keep it, its a replica anyway. but icejerseys is a pretty reputable site, they will prob redo it for you. house o hockey does a pretty good job too.
Inkio, I recommend the House o' Hockey in Murrysville. They only sell officially licensed jerseys and use authentic lettering kits. Look at their eBay store (http://stores.ebay.com/The-House-OHockey-Pro-Shop" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and you can get an idea of the quality. I've bought many jerseys from them and had many others lettered by them and I've never once been dissatisfied. Looks like they have the Crosby Premier you're looking for at $189. Not sure how that compares to what you paid, but you're going to get top quality from them. If you're local, go see them and talk to Ron. He's fantastic to work with.

It looks like they have the single layer twill version of the jersey on there. The pictures aren't great because I can't see the quality of the stitching or layering on the numbers or C. Unfortunately I'm in New Jersey so I can't go down there to check it out.
I'm now realizing the one I just got the numbers on the back and the lettering aren't exactly the same font as it should be. The numbers should be skinnier looking and the lettering as well. Ordering jersey's is a pain, why can't NHL.com just make nice jersey's anymore lol.
When ordering, I always make it a habit to request accurate team-authentic lettering kits - assuming that matters to you - even from House o' Hockey.
The stitching is a tad sloppy, but nothng you'll notice from a distance. The font is a bit off though. Obviously I can't attest to the quality of the twill from just photos, but it's accurate to the 90-92 jerseys, which is the basic 2-layer.
Edit: the House o' Hockey jerseys should also have the 2-layer twill. If you are worried about it, call them and place an order online so you can tell them you want the authentic kit like the team uses.
Edit 2: Not that it excuses them, but I would attribute the sloppy stitch work to the fact that they just had that great sale which was advertised here in another thread. They probably had a lot of business with that...especially with Pens fans wanting a Kessel jersey. I've seen a lot of those already.

Ya house o hockey is def reliable. i have sent them many jerseys, some from several year back, and have always been happy. (with one minor exception that they fixed at their expense.) i always just email them with specifically what I am looking for and they send a paypal invoice. I fedex them the jersey, they fedex it back a few weeks later.
They might sell the single layer twill premiers as well, maybe, but they know what you are looking for when you say authentic lettering kit.
I can also vouch for HoH. They do legit, quality work on customizations. I would order from them again. Just be sure to accurately describe what lettering/numbering desired. It's also helpful to include as much information as possible. This includes pictures, etc.
My advice: Burn it. It's a Rangers jersey!! Joking. I have to admit that I believe these Liberty jerseys to be about the best-looking jerseys I've seen that don't carry Penguins logos.
Seriously, though I'm not an expert on Rangers jersey by any means, and I don't own one for comparison purposes, this one seems to be legit. A quick Google image search of "Rangers Liberty game worn" shows me a bunch of jerseys from reputable sites that seem to have striping on the sleeves identical to what you have pictured. Does anyone sell the on ice socks or are those available to the teams only?
Not the ones with the tabs.
no one sells those at retail but they can be found on Ebay and forums like Sports2k.com: http://www.sports2k.com/forum/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Ordered a Hornqvist player tshirt (alternate colors) online from Dick's and it arrived today. Sad to say I will be returning it. The logo on the front is a full inch off center, very noticeable. Has anyone had any luck with online purchases from Dick's. Any other suggestions as to where I could purchase online that has high quality standards? I'm not in the Pittsburgh area so would have to be an online purchase.

LOL. In fact I am going to sell it. Thats why I asked. I have a bunch of signed Jagr Rangers jerseys, but it does not feel right. I am selling them all now and using the money on more Penguins jerseys instead.
Thanks for the input about the jersey. I asked around some more and did some research and its legit indeed. So you were totally right about that

Try going to a store to return and complain. I'm sure they'll order you another one and ship to your house. Hell...I'd ask to keep the first one they sent still to use around the house!
