Was watching Edmonton @ Nashville not paying attention to the other games. Florida destroying Philly 4-0 early in the 1st. Wow, hahahaha.

Gonna be drunk before the Pens even start tonight..

I'm a Center Ice subscriber but for those that don't subscribe (and why the F not?!) , you should be able to watch games if you can find the channels through your provider (Comcast for me is 460, DirecTV 770 at my folks house) as they are doing a free trial right now to start the season.. they usually do one after the All Star break as well..

I'm working on that, as well, though I use Gamecenter. This will be a fun night.

I cant believe that in the year 2015 Comcast doesnt offer ALL (if not most) games in HD.. one game at a time is in HD.. what a crock of **** for the money they charge. And what appears new this year is the choice of home or away feed for SOME games..

If my crappy Comcast internet could handle the streaming, I'd use gamecenter too. Used it one season at a different apartment and it was great, decent quality stream near HD..

It's worked great for me since I first got it in 2007-08.

That OV goal was nasty as heck. I also like Nashville's helmets. Florida stomping all over Philly 7-1 is also amazing.

When do the Pens get to play against goalies playing as awful as the ones in this Boston/Flyer game? All you have to do is throw the puck to the net and it goes in.

Yep, saw it last night. A bad hit on a defenseless player to the head. Vintage Rinaldo. HF Flyers forum went nuts.

How does Rinaldo not get any sort of discipline coming? This guy is a repeat offender who obviously doesn't get it and the league does nothing. What a joke...

Those injuries suck for McDavid and Kelly. Both sort of freak incidents. McDavid will be back but I'm wondering if Chris Kelly may have played his last game in the league. He's almost 35 now and has long recovery time ahead of himself, not to mention trying to get back in shape and getting comfortable skating on the leg again.

BREAKING: Connor McDavid needs surgery for broken collarbone, will be out months http://www.cbc.ca/1.3303566" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; #Oilers
That is a real shame for him and Edmonton.

I'm sure this will stir up the hockey purists, but apparently Babcock has suggested/mentioned enlarging the nets. He believes that the nets should be proportionate to the goaltender...since todays goalies, on average, are bigger overall with and without equipment. It makes sense, and is one way and the biggest to increase scoring...

Ovechkin has 15 shots on goal v. Detroit. Three and 1/2 minutes to play

Yet he ended up a -1 in a shutout loss. He has always been a player that would pass up a good scoring opportunity to get himself a shot on goal. He cares about one thing, and that is personal stats. Just as Crosby would be better served taking the shot more often, the ape would be better served not being so freaking selfish. There is a happy medium, but neither of these guys seems to get it.

Blackhawks losing 2-0 to the Ducks. They score 2 with their goalie pulled and win it in OT. Quite a finish. Jealous.

Okay, this used to be one of the most popular threads on the board. What happened this season?

Anyway, Hank-less Rangers take down the Caps tonight, 3-2. I'm interested to see how Washington at Boston goes tomorrow night. Boston just seems awkward to play against.

I checked the box score in this game. A couple of tidbits: Not a lot of penalties, Craps out-shoot the Rags and lose, Niskanen had 25+ minutes time-on-ice. Ovy, Oshie, Orpik and Orlov were all minus for the night. Tough night to be an O.

Maybe the Rags are a bad match-up for Caps.

McQuaid and Tom Wilson just had a spirited scrap in Boston. Much to my surprise, McQuaid sent Wilson to the ice. Not a KO, but a victory none-the-less.
