Toronto dumps salary and could easily buy out Cowen next year. (if they're smart)

Phaneuf helps the worst blueline in the NHL, albeit for a steep price, but Ottawa isn't a Cap Team anyway. Phaneuf has been decent this season and will definitely be an upgrade on the Sens' blueline.

Essentially this is a Phaneuf for a 2nd round pick and a prospect trade.
