Will all due respect to Brodeur and his Hall of Fame to be career, he is the goalie with the most LOSSES in NHL history. 397. If you don't believe it, look it up. He is the Cy Young of Hockey. Young lost the most games in MLB history.

Well, he also played the most games of any goalie ever by almost 250 games (if you assume a starter plays roughly 60 games per season, he played 4 full seasons more than any other goalie ever). So it makes sense he has the most losses.

That is the only reason that Gordie Howe carries the stats that he does... career duration. If he had a 15 year career like a normal person back then no one would know who he is.

Just check his winning percentage if you want to see how good he ranks in that category. His career goals against avg. is pretty low in comparison to others.

It takes a good eye to judge goalies and how good they are. It must be hard to pluck out the good ones and which ones look good cause of the defensive teams they play on.
