And if this trade does take place will Jordan follow in the summer? And is so will they (temporarily) change the team name to the New York Staals? Or would Eric be just a rental? Tune in tomorrow on NHL Network. Or on NHL Central north of the border.

Saw the Kings are interested in Staal. That would be a good pickup for LA. I could see them trying to do something large, especially with the Hawks making big moves.

Done deal, with Carolina getting two seconds and a prospect. Not a bad return for a pending UFA who's scored 10 goals this season.

Eric is a UFA while brother Air Jordan is signed through 2023 @$6 mil per. Lots of things would have got right for the Staal brothers to re-unite.
