The expansion wouldn't happen until the 2017/2018 season. A lot can happen/change in one year.ville5 wrote:Hope we get a good return on Murray.

I like the name, but the logo needs some work.

One of the better local rugby teams is already called the Black Jacks. And one of the better local womens rugby teams is called the Las Vegas Slots.
I'm living in Vegas now. I got on the list too late for the cheap seats though. I'm on the list for one tier up, which is about double the price. I may not be able to afford that for a full season.
I guess they could use the same name, though. I doubt that local team has any copyright on it.

The T-Mobile arena looks to be amazing. Seats 17,500 for hockey, Kings are playing a couple games there this October so we can see how the seating looks. Barclays Center is an embarrassment for hockey, I know it has nothing to do with expansion but it cam't be said enough that that stupid SUV has the best seats in the building.

there are ways around that. my women's hockey team was the Atlanta Thrashers back before the NHL Thrashers existed. after they came along we changed our name to Atlanta Lady Thrashers. pretty sure that our founder got a payout for the name and 100% sure that the story of how the team came up with the name (something about Jane Fonda seeing a Brown Thrasher while horseback riding with Ted Turner) is a load of crap.
