Nope all he got was a 5 minute major. Thought that if a boarding penalty resulted in someone getting injured it was 5 & game. Evidently it's not

Via the Boston Herald:

"The Bruins’ efforts to rehabilitate Zac Rinaldo took another step backward Friday when he was kicked out of a Providence game for delivering a head shot in the team’s win against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He is suspended indefinitely until a ruling is made by the American Hockey League.

Before going to Providence, Rinaldo was suspended five games by the NHL for his high hit on Tampa Bay’s Cedric Paquette, which he must serve while on a roster."

Hossa short-handed breakaway goal against the Flyers early in the first. Go Blackhawks.

Wasn't expecting Philly to win at Chicago. That was their game in hand. Now 2 points behind the Pens.

It's a sad state of affairs, Durbano.

Red Wings hopefully can leap back over tomorrow with a win in Columbus.

I figured after the Blackhawks got trashed 5-0 in their last game, they would come back and handle the Flyers. Crap.

Wings beat CBJ and pass Philly again, though only by one point, and Flyers have two games in hand.

Philly is 8-1-1 in its last 10. They cannot keep this up.

Detroit at Florida on NHL Network as we speak. A Florida win in regulation would keep DET 5 points behind the Pens, and the Pens will have a game in hand.

Kronwall is back tonight.

Wings with four unanswered goals and a 5-3 win. Datsyuk with the ENG. Didn't realize he's 37 years old.

Am I alone not feeling bad that Gudas finished a hit he didn't need to leading to Doan getting injured?

A post-game article on the tilt is pretty revealing. Giroux was also KO'd and left the game.

"Gudas has been a one-man wrecking crew in the NHL this season leaving a trail of injured players in the dust behind him while almost always avoiding additional discipline from the league. He was suspended three games for a hit to the head of Mika Zibanejad earlier in the season (during a game where he injured three players)."

"The intensity seemed to increase and reached a boiling point when Giroux went into the glass after he was shoved from behind by Martin Hanzal and appeared to be briefly knocked out on the ice."

AO with the HT in St. Louis to reach the 50-goal mark. The guy is incredible when it comes to securing individual hardware. Like a bloodhound.

There's no "I" in team but you better believe there's one in Richard. Someday Alex can tell his grandkids about all the times he scored more goals than Sid.
