I will never root for a Hitchcock team so the Blues can lose as long as he is their coach.

Re: Other Playoff Games 2016
“We’ve got Game 7 at home,” Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said. “It’s the best-case scenario we could have hoped for ............ ”
Reminds me Captain Edward John Smith: "Hey, we're going for a midnight swim, what could be better?".

Yeah, I caught that sound bite after the game. He's trying to talk himself into it, but they certainly could win. Better case might have been, oh, I dunno, winning game 5 in double OT to end the series?

Impressive comeback by the Hawks. Heart of a champion. Blues and hitch need to be feeling the pressure now. Game 7....

I'm trying to watch Game 6 Caps/Flyers with my choppy feed. Flyers killing off a 5-on-3. Super intense. Come on Flyers, make yourselves useful and force a Game 7.

Caps score on a great effort by OV. I would image the flood gates will open now

Id rather Washington finish this off today so the Pens arent sitting around for 5 days. Caps cant skate with the Pens and dont scare me at all. Pens looked to come out of round 1 relatively healthy. Couple days to heal up & let's get going.

I know right. We've seen long layoffs leading to a rusty game 1 in the past. It's fine and dandy ending it in 5 but there could be drawbacks too.Mango Salsa wrote:Id rather Washington finish this off today so the Pens arent sitting around for 5 days. Don't they have to wait until all round 1 games are finished before starting round 2? The time off has to be pretty much set regardless of if this goes 7 or not? BTW why can't the Caps score anymore? Any thoughts? For me, the Caps scare me more than the flyers.

He's back.
How was Simmonds hit on Ovie any different than any of Ovies hits?

After a while, Maguires compliments mean nothing. Everything is terrific, fantastic, amazing, stellar, fearless, etc. It's like the only things he can say are praises, what college or junior team someone played or coached for or something about the Blackhawks.

I think Pierre would make a good pro scout, he's knowledgeable as f--k, but seems to like the color guy gig. He's annoying but no more so than Doc Emerick. I miss Gary Thorne/Bill Clement.

Pierre is two different people -- an insufferable fool on the U.S. broadcasts, and a decent, mostly no-nonsense analyst on the Canadian broadcasts. I refuse to listen to him on NBC.
Meanwhile I guess it's time to quietly root for the Islanders, for no other reason than it'll spare us from hearing about their last playoff series win. Really could've lived without stumbling into that trip down memory lane tonight, complete with Ray Ferraro commentary and Al Arbour tributes.
