I thought that was supposed to go on any jersey customized with a player name.
Sort of an NHLPA kind of mark saying, "Hey, a portion of this jersey sales goes to NHLPA because it's got a player name on it."

If that's the case, then maybe these labels came with official lettering kits that were producing royalties to the players via the NHLPA. That would also be a plausible explanation of why some customizers used them while some didn't - because they weren't all buying NHLPA-approved lettering kits.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I'm not sorry at all about my opinion.

I have to say that as jerseys go, the Stadium Series jerseys are absolutely horrible.

They look like someone cut arm holes in a yellow burlap sack. The only positive aspect of them is the "City of Champions" patch.

They should have went with this design instead - especially the logo is so much better:

I preferred that myself, but still kind of dug the final design, especially for a single game one-off.

I'm hoping that what you pictured is what they use for the eventual third jersey in two seasons when teams are permitted again.

I have never seen a vintage re-make of such high quality before.

Mostly its just cheap vintage replicas as you all know, so I am curious to know how these came about

Jersey Baron isn't having jerseys custom made by Reebok for him to sell. He's not moving nearly enough product to have Reebok make something special for him. I believe he gets primarily overstocks/excess inventory.

It depends on what you're talking about in terms of "legit." I've bought a few autographed pieces from them and, without a doubt, their autographs are legit. No fakes, no counterfeits, none of that stuff. They have signings with major names all the time. Now their jerseys are another matter entirely. Remember, they're primarily an autograph house. To save cost, I'm sure they're having players sign the cheapest thing they can. In many cases, that means a Chinese knockoff jersey. I've seen a ton of Chinese product in their store, and even the ones that aren't signed come with a pretty hefty price tag. So if you're buying autographed stuff, the autos are legit. The jerseys that they sell, in many cases, are Chinese knockoffs that you can get for $20-30 on eBay. But if you buy from them, you don't have to worry about ICE coming and knocking on your door.

If anything I'm expecting them to move the 50th patch to the shoulder. Not sure the league would let the Cup patch be anywhere but the chest. Only the Rangers have historically, by result of the design of their jerseys themselves. (The "R-A-N-G-E-R-S" text across the front interferes.)

I'm glad the league kept the 50 year patch on the jersey. In 92 they put the SCF patch over the 75 year anniversary league patch.

So again I need advise from wiser men in this thread:

Went up in the attic and looked for something and instead found a Penguins jersey in one of the boxes.

It was a 1992-1993 MASKA Ultrafil Home Jersey, that probably had been there for a long time.

Anyway, to my question, it is a size 38 and seem REALLY small.

My questions:

Is the size 38 a ladies or boys AUTHENTIC jersey with fight strap?

Was the size 38 only available during the only season 1992-1993 when MASKA did the jerseys?

Does the 1990-1992 CCM cup winning jerseys exist in size 38?

I post two pics below here, what you see laying above the size 38 jersey is a size 44 jersey. The difference is 4 inches in width at the waist.

I am not even sure you could customize the size 38, I am not sure the numbers and nameplate would fit. (might go but would be tight)

The jersey fits me almost like a regular fashion sweater, but with the fight strap

Oh yea, I've seen smaller even - maybe 36, and for different teams.

Very rare. I think someone told me once they were available via special order only.

size 46 will be hard to find. especially if you're looking for a legit one. that size is equivalent to an adult small and not even the smallest NHL players actually wear that on the ice.

Oh, I'm aware. They were available for sale in all sizes, I just made an assumption that a few would still be available come summer time - just like the last Stadium Series jersey a few years ago. Boy was I wrong.

Haze, from what I understand, with the change from Reebok to Adidas, they're no longer making Reebok 7287's and both the House o' Hockey and Jersey Baron have sold out. I think I got one of JB's last size 56's, and that was before the Pens won the Cup in their white jerseys. I'll keep an eye out. Good luck!

Damn...that's what I was thinking. I wanted a cup jersey and when i logged in monday - NONE were left. They were there sunday afernoon....you'd think - under the circumstances, they let reebok take bespoke orders through a certain date and fullfil those. Win win, but guess not.

What would the size be for someone 5'11, 200lbs, average build? I was thinking 46, until i read the above. That'd be a small??

46 is, in theory 23 inches armpit to armpit which is pretty small. for current pro stock jerseys if you're just wearing with a t-shirt or something you probably don't want to go any lower than a 52. if you were buying one to wear with gear you'd need to go bigger.

Yea, for comparison I am about 5'-7", around 160lbs. 46 is just right for me. I can wear size 50, but the arms are a tad long and it starts to get a smidge baggy.

I've never tried a 52 in current sizes, but I assume it's way too big for me.

I'd look at a 52 or a 54 for you. You're about the same height as I am, though I'm a bit heavier. With a 7287 jersey, the issue is never the width of the torso of the jersey, the issue is the sleeve length.
