Question about these jerseys:

Have the Anaheim Ducks organisation ordered these jerseys or is it The Baron himself that have ordered them from reebok?

I have never seen a vintage re-make of such high quality before.

Mostly its just cheap vintage replicas as you all know, so I am curious to know how these came about :)

The Ducks have not worn such jerseys since 2006.
They wore them in 2013. I also think they wore them for a warmup this year, too. I can't find anything on that, though.

Jersey Baron isn't having jerseys custom made by Reebok for him to sell. He's not moving nearly enough product to have Reebok make something special for him. I believe he gets primarily overstocks/excess inventory.

It depends on what you're talking about in terms of "legit." I've bought a few autographed pieces from them and, without a doubt, their autographs are legit. No fakes, no counterfeits, none of that stuff. They have signings with major names all the time. Now their jerseys are another matter entirely. Remember, they're primarily an autograph house. To save cost, I'm sure they're having players sign the cheapest thing they can. In many cases, that means a Chinese knockoff jersey. I've seen a ton of Chinese product in their store, and even the ones that aren't signed come with a pretty hefty price tag. So if you're buying autographed stuff, the autos are legit. The jerseys that they sell, in many cases, are Chinese knockoffs that you can get for $20-30 on eBay. But if you buy from them, you don't have to worry about ICE coming and knocking on your door.
Yes autographs, thank you sir.
Have you dealt with Frameworth? If so, I send my merchandise and money in and get a legit auto? Do they limit- meaning everyone gets an auto if I send the money?

I never have dealt with Frameworth before. I'm not much into autographs outside of the ones I"m able to get personally. I do know that Frameworth is very highly regarding in autograph circles. Typically, you hear when a company is a problem company, and I've never heard that about Frameworth.

I'd look at a 52 or a 54 for you. You're about the same height as I am, though I'm a bit heavier. With a 7287 jersey, the issue is never the width of the torso of the jersey, the issue is the sleeve length.
thanks to all for the feedback :) But it seems I can't do anything til the new gear arrives - whenever that is. You'd think licensing would be pretty irrelevant since adidas owns reebok....

Jersey Baron on ebay got a shipment in the other day:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PITTSBURGH-PENGUINS-AUTHENTIC-AWAY-WHITE-REEBOK-EDGE-2-0-7287-HOCKEY-JERSEY-/292169493289?var=&hash=item4406a8ab29:m:mlHfnrFcIWGkHJR3yHwDGVg

He also offers a few different customized ones, but I just gave you the blank model link.

Also a home jersey:

Adidas jerseys on sale now.

Are size 42 and 44 so that children can have an authentic jersey?

How come the Penguins Adidas jersey's collar looks like a cape? Why does the thick band of yellow start halfway around the neck? Other teams' jerseys aren't like this.

At $224, will the Adidas authentic jerseys have better lettering kits than the replica Reeboks did? Those faux double ply vinyl numbers are the worst. My Guentzel autograph rubbed right off during the parade.

No. They were the same terrible crap when I looked at the ones at the Lemieux Center store.

There are a handful of other teams with the same/similar collar design for sure. I'm with you though...I don't really like it.

From everything I've seen and read, the term "authentic" is even more loosely used by Adidas than it was by Reebok. To try to draw comparisons between the two companies' offerings, these are "retail authentics." They're going to be a jersey that is of higher quality than that replicas sold by Fanatics and they're made in Indonesia. This is the Adidas equivalent of the Indo-Edge, but from what I've read, they're of much lower quality than the Indo-Edges were. Canadian-made "on-ice authentics" (the Adidas version of the Reebok Edge 2.0) will only be made available to team equipment managers.

To be honest, I think this sucks from every perspective. As a collector of authentic jerseys, there's even more separation between these jerseys and what is worn on the ice. I have an authentic of every just about jersey worn by the Penguins on the ice since 1991-92, as they've been made available to the public (though, sometimes, it was more difficult to find). I think this will bring an end to this. Making matters worse, everyone who wants an on-ice authentic will need to a get game-worn or team-issued jersey. If you think Joe Tomon's prices on recent GW's and TI's are ridiculous, just wait. They're gonna go through the roof, pricing many people (like myself) out of the hobby.

Who knows? I think this collar is ugly and doesn't resemble a hockey jersey. But, since Adidas has primarily been a soccer-focused company, it's quite possible that they like the idea that a faux-collar is something resembling a trademark for them. But I'm purely speculating. I do know that these faux collars are Adidas's design and not a request by teams or the NHL, though.

Not sure. But I can tell you that they jerseys being sold by PensGear now seem to have off-center (lower) crests and small numbers than the "real" jerseys would have. If I were in the market for one of these retail authentics, I'd get a blank and have it lettered separately by someone like the House O' Hockey.

I'm picky/frugal with my money. I definitely won't be buying a new jersey with that collar.

I'm glad I was able to pick up a white Reebok Edge 2.0. It's in process of being lettered right now! Evidently, those have become nearly impossible to find as well.

Sorry, Haze. Got no pennants. Got cards, jerseys, pictures, and even a Winter Classic Terrible Towel signed by 11 players, but no pennants.

Adidas must have been high when they decided to make the crest of size 42, 44 and 46 like WAAAAAAAY TOO SMALL.

Check this:

Comparison between a Vegas size 46 and 50. Why did they shrink the logo by 50% ALREADY on the size 46?

I have ordered a size 42 blank, got it for 167$ delivered - and with free return shipping.

So if I dislike it I will send it back.

Only reason I ordered it is because size 46 and premier jersey small has always been too big. Now I hope size 42 or 44 will be a good fit to wear. That way I can justify buying
one of these to wear and then wait for the canada made authentics to collect.

But the small logo might be reason to return it and buy a hoodie instead. Size 42, maybe you could have that small logo, but absolutely not on a size 46.

I was at the Pens preseason game against Buffalo last night. They have blank Reebok Premiers for $50 and lettered for $75. Not sure on sizes, but they have them.

THANKS!! do they have the road whites though or are they just home blacks? Wouldn't get the lettered ones for sure as I want pro-twill. Do you have a contact number so that I can ask them by any chance. HUGE THANKS and i will gladly give you a reward if I can score that jersey.

I got one before, but the customization guys screwed up by putting the 100 NHL patch above the player number *cries cries*

Wonderful news.

Fanatics international was supposed to ship my size 42 jersey today. But instead said it would ship earliest 15th november.

Adidas has screwed up pretty badly. They are not delivering the products when they promised. Many shops in europe have not gotten any Adidas NHL merchandise yet and are pretty mad with Adidas.

I am not expecting to get the jersey before christmas.

I think I am going to cancel the order. Probably Adidas will have sorted this maybe in april, may 2018 when demand goes down.
