Today's long range short side over the shoulder goal from minimal angle courtesy of Jacob Slavin.

Shame on you for six weeks if you missed this one. Canes-Bolts game is 5 stars.

Some shoddy goaltending from both teams. 4-4 all of sudden.pronovost19 wrote:Shame on you for six weeks if you missed this one. Canes-Bolts game is 5 stars.

No dull moments in this one and a serious explosion of offense in the 2nd.pronovost19 wrote:Shame on you for six weeks if you missed this one. Canes-Bolts game is 5 stars.

TB PP with Kucherov back on one side and Stamkos on the other and Hedman at the point is a machine.

3 PPG's in 2 periods. I don't think we had 3 PPG's in the entire Islanders seriesbrwi wrote:TB PP with Kucherov back on one side and Stamkos on the other and Hedman at the point is a machine.

Shame on Carolina for giving Tampa 6 power plays. Can’t do that

So much for Kucherov not being in game shape after being off all year and only practicing for a month.

Best elite player that doesn't get talked about that much. Maybe it's because TB is the market.Skatingpen wrote:Never realized how good Kucherov is. Wow

Yeah Carolina looked good up 4-2 and then the Bolts found another gear.

For being such a good coach, how can Trotz saddle Barzal with Komarov all game, every game?

No Anders Lee? Nelson plays a similar game to Lee, but I guess Trotz wants him to stay on the 2nd line.KG wrote:For being such a good coach, how can Trotz saddle Barzal with Komarov all game, every game?

His numbers with Komarov stink. Isles fan are pissed at Trotz’ stubbornness. It’s worse than E Eod with Crosby. But a win is a win.brwi wrote:No Anders Lee? Re: 2021 NHL Playoffs
I did not expect Montreal to be in the verge of a sweep. And what’s also good is Québec is under no obligation to follow a national covid policy that is decided in Ontario as we have seen with limited fans already. They will get at least two home games against Avs/Knights and I would bet they will have some decent sized crowds considering they seem to be several months behind the US. But Toronto and Winnipeg are still at vaccinated health care workers wearing masks sitting 20 feet apart so hoping Montreal closes this series out in 4.

Re: 2021 NHL Playoffs
Vegas is really outplaying the Avs the last 3 games. Was the first game a fluke in that Colorado had a decent rest period between series and had a big adrenaline burst in game 1?

Re: 2021 NHL Playoffs
Sure looks like a combination of Avs being well rested yet not rusty and Vegas looking exhausted. The speed and tempo of the Avs has since been matched by Vegas after Game 1. The extra day off from Game 1 to 2 definitely rejuvenated the Knights, plus the embarrassment of getting blown off the ice by the Avs. Grubauer has been about the only bright spot for Colorado in the series and he's had to face a barrage of high danger chances and can't stop them all. Avs need to "get to their game" ASAP and watch the series end in 6 games.Pruezy11881 wrote:Vegas is really outplaying the Avs the last 3 games. Just tuning into Isles - Bruins after taking time away from hockey. Funny how Sorokin only lasted one game against the B's, and now Varlamov is stoning them. Marchand scored one of the most amazing goals I've seen in a long time, but the Isles lead by simply going to the front of the net and finding the guy there for a point blank shot.

Re: 2021 NHL Playoffs
Hellybuck complains about something after a screened puck gets by him to make it 2-0 Habs. He’s the only Jet actually trying to play it seems though. Has to be frustrating.

The islanders have to be the most opportunistic team in some time. Rope a dope. Doesn’t help Rask didn’t make a save today. So annoying.

Re: 2021 NHL Playoffs
Pasta has been interfered with a lot. And the ******* NBC guys mention it was a clean hit but fail to mention it was well after the puck was gone and was blatant interference.
But **** Boston since they do this crap to everyone else too.
